TouchArcade: Fall 2011 is the unofficial season of anthropomorphized penguins. Don’t believe me? Between the penguin sweater craze and the release of Happy Feet 2, adorable penguins are everywhere. Now, a third entry into fall’s penguin lineup is here in the form of BulkyPix’s super-cute new game, Crazy Escape [99¢]. And this one answers the question on everybody’s mind: Can penguins drive tiny penguin cars, and if so, is it extra-adorable?

Original Gamer - Bulkypix seems to be one of the more heavily focused developers on this site, although their previous releases haven’t exactly set the world on fire. Their search for pick-up-and-play gold on the iPhone continues with Crazy Escape, which tasks players with rescuing loose sheep from wolves whilst driving a jeep with two penguins behind the wheel. Considering that Angry Birds focuses on birds with a penchant for catapults and their attempts to rescue stolen eggs from pigs, Crazy Escape definitely has the wackiness down, but when it comes to not being able to put your device down instead, is the game good?

Gaming Update's Chris Boots-Faubert sat down to give Crazy Escape a hard play and discovered a game that any puzzle fan will instantly find addictive and challenging. The fact that this well-designed and entertaining title is only .99 cents is something of a shock, considering that it has the heft of a full game that hits every mark.
This surprise find also turned out to be the first iOS title to ever earn a perfect review score.

Even though I can't figure out what audience Crazy Escape is aimed at, it is a very solid line-drawing style with a lot of personality. The graphics and sound are very nice, but the gameplay is strikingly similar to a lot of iOS games as of late. Also, starting out simple and being very difficult in just a few levels is a trend I am seeing a lot of. Regardless, the game is a wonderful value for just 99 cents.
