Oh my days, I can't wait to play this again. Caspian Border on PC is just epic. Lets just hope I can actually get into a server without having to wait 7 leap years this time!

I'd rather wait for the final version to play this map. Much like Uncharted 3, I stopped playing the beta because I don't want to get burnt out on it and end up hardly playing it when it releases (that's why I rarely played BC2). Plus, I've seen the vids of vehicles getting stuck in the ground & shooting into the air. I'd rather have all of that be fixed before I experience that map.

i did the same thing, 25hrs on the BC2 beta then only played the final for like 10 and was done. up to 8hr on BF3 beta right now

I know right? Op Metro doesn't show what BF is really all about. DICE knows this will sell on consoles more than on PC, simply due to the larger install base of console players.

What concerns and angers me more, is that they are obviously trying to buy CoD fans with this map. I'm afraid that if that tactic works then we will have a ruined BF experience, as we'll see the likes of Soap MacTavish and Captain Price running around the maps trying to kill people with knives and shotguns, instead of going for objectives and utilizing tactical team play, and choosing a class loadout that's appropriate for the situation.

It actually makes more sense to use operation metro. It's a smaller map and the gameplay is more conducive to cod players. They'll attract more sales that way.

I know it's not the Bf we all love but its smart. The quicker rounds make for mote matches and server tests also

I'm all for upping the amount of players and fans of Battlefield but the Beta alone says it all. Airing this map to try and suck the CoD players in. Hell I don't know if you've seen it or it's just me but camping has gone up tenfold with these guys jumping in and not grasping the dynamics of Battlefield, it's a team based game not lone wolf. I hope CoD players do end up buying this and I also hope Metro is the only map on the game like this. Put the CoD guys on a proper BF map and it's going to be like them at the controls of a bullet train into a brick wall. :D Easy pickings.

Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.

DICE have already stated that they actually don't know how to. They literally have no idea what made BC2 so good and clearly have no idea how to repeat it.

Which is so ignorant it almost physically hurts.

They have the damn templates lol. Everyone LOVED Battlefield all the way up through BF4. Everything after BF4 is where fans started getting divided because they started dumbing down the gameplay.

So they need to go back to the favorites. Bad Company 2. BF3 and BF4.

Take those games. Take the exact same gameplay. Update the graphics. Add some different game modes. Make new maps. Add new guns. Choose two armies. And make a single player campaign.

That's seriously it. They need to quit trying to make BF something it isn't. They have everything they need. Why they can't figure this out just hurts my brain trying to understand.

BF3? They need to go back to BF2 for the mainline. Heck, I'd settle for true-to-source remakes of BF2 and BC2 (w/ Vietnam). Everything they've done in the 'modern' era is just bad.

I've not played 2042 myself but after v I don't feel like it. I played a few hours of v with friends but it feels ultra sterile I can't figure it out but the game looks and feels clinical. The storys in the campaign were also bland and uninteresting and felt like a dull trudge through checkpoints as you waited for an ending.

I've played the franchise dating back to it's original PC launch and PS2 spin off games I did enjoy 1 overall and it's take on placing you in different scenarios and battles was interesting but not all that good imo as you couldn't really connect with any characters longer than 2 hours.

hardline for all the hate it recived was a fun story and a new take but a bad mp game

I feel like v overall was the turning point and instead of showing the gritty reality of war they turned everything sterile and presented it in a clean cut boring frame in order to pump it full of weird micro transactions overall they spent far to much time on trying to implant ray tracing and other graphical flourishes and forgot to make the game enjoyable
