If this trend continues, it would be interesting to see if they would add in a dvr ability.

gogospeedracer5381d ago

No thanks. I have plenty of HDTV's but no Television. I refuse to pay for cable or Sat.

cl19835380d ago

even with out cable, if you have a regular antenna, the idea of hooking up the coax and having one less device to own and power would be nice.

kreate5381d ago

just for speculation, kind of sounds like this 'expanded service' will be for platinum members.

gold members are 60 dollars so platinum members will probably be 99 dollars. 99 dollars might be worth it though depending on the extra costs that piles on top of the membership fees in order to enjoy all of the extra services.

if not that, there may be a increase in gold membership price.

although one can argue they would just charge on top of the regular gold membership, thats less likely looking at current trend.

i like watching news so if i can i watch tv and news programs, i dont mind going from a silver to a platinum member.

KonGreat5381d ago

Would be better if they just split up between Gold and PLatinum, Gold becomes a lot cheaper, but only offers online gaming and what we usually associate with XBL. While platinum is more expensive but has all these videos and netflix and whatnot.
If the price of xbl goes up I'm not going to stop with my xbl.

Add
-Funimation channel(sure dubbed sucks but wth something to watch when i'm bored)
-USA
-Fox(I won't be watching the news though)
-NBC
-CBS

For starters then I might jump on this :)

tplarkin75381d ago

Fox News would be huge. It's the only reason I use cable.

rob60215381d ago

I was just curious.... yup you like the xbox too alot, as I suspected.

KonGreat5381d ago

LOL I hope you don't watch it as a news channel.
Good for you though, good for you!

KingSlayer5381d ago

Why on Earth pay to then be able to pay again for services that offer less programming options?

ECM0NEY5381d ago

Just torrent movies and TV. Buy games though!

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde65d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
