Has there been any PC shots yet?

i_like_ff75255d ago

The PC version will look exactly the same expect at a higher resolution and sharper. Basically if you see any 1080p shots lying around, its pc screens.

OccludedGamer5255d ago

Well I suppose that depends on which version of DirectX it uses. But I wasn't expecting any huge differences anyway, Mods are normally where the best parts for the PC version are

MAJ0R5255d ago (Edited 5255d ago )

u actually serious? PC will not just be "a higher resolution with 1080p", it will also have higher resolution textures, 8xMSAA (or higher), and possibly more effects

oh and who could forget community mods? PC version FTW

i_like_ff75255d ago

MAJOR that exactly the same thing as i said...The game isn't going to have any more effects than the console versions. Look at Oblivion, Fallout etc. This is a DX9 game. It's not going to have any extra features. Dream on.

OccludedGamer5255d ago

Considering it is a new engine I would say it is too early to say if it will be DX9 or not, I know the previous releases were. But to be honest considering how late in the gen this engine was released, I personally would expect it to be DX11 ready for the new consoles

Thecraft19895255d ago

Guys it there following the trend of adding dx11 after few months of it being out.

MAJ0R5255d ago

yeah it will lol, and even if Bethesda releases the PC version as complete crap the modders will fix every single issue. also it's not just DX9, Todd said it was going to support DX11 but not any of it's main features. That means they could implement stuff like tessellation in an update

Bolts5254d ago

FF7 obviously have not played any of these games for the PC.

The PC version just isn't the same game in 1080p. Its the same game in 1080p with double the texture resolution and draw distance...and silky smooth performance.

The key here is the increased texture resolution that makes everything pop. Just increasing the game's resolution alone is pointless unless you get more detailed textures.

Why does every multi plat game atricle turn out to be a PC ego boost section?

The wait is too painful. 11-11-11 can't come soon enough.

Looks nice I hope they don't screw up the PS3 version.

persistentlobster5255d ago

That would piss me off sooo much! I already have the collectors edition preordered on ps3 and didn't even think about that.

HaHa_Ostrich5254d ago

Last time they took their time to learn PS3s architecture and released an overall better Oblivion. My point is they worked hard and the results show for it. So I dont think you should worry about the PS3 version, or any other version.

persistentlobster5254d ago

Yes but the difference there is that they had a couple extra years to work on the ps3 version whereas this is a simultaneous release. Regardless, I'm sure it will turn out great!

Looking great so far, cant wait or it

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb198170d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
