Railsimulator.com Ltd. has signed an agreement with Amtrak which allows the company to produce officially-licensed Amtrak content in their simulators, notably their new title RailWorks3: Train Simulator 2012. The company already has agreements with BNSF, Union Pacific, Canadian National, Norfolk Southern and many more key companies.

Rail simulation and modeling tools company Railsimulator.com Ltd. has announced that the next game in its Train Simulator series will incorporate Steam Workshop, which allows players to download user-created content. The Steam Workshop functionality will be fully integrated into the game so players can view and choose user-generated content via a seamless interface.
I'm not sure how you can realistically make a game like this without Amtrak.
