Tekken Creator Praises Gravity Daze

Gravity Daze is one of the best looking games coming soon for the PlayStation Vita. The game’s colorful graphics and intuitive controls help add to it’s appeal amongst both gamers and game developers alike.

The “Father of Tekken” Katsuhiro Harada recently got his hand on the game during the Tokyo Game Show last week and from the looks of it, he walked away quite impressed.

Love at First Sight is my description of Gravity Daze.

A breath of fresh air.

Its just oozing with originality and all the great elements I so wanted for a true Japanese gaming experience.
It has patented Japanese game play, vibe, feel, anime graphics, manga elements, RPG elements, western production design made by Japanese artists, 60 fps frame rate, full utilization of all PS Vita game control features!

A perfect package from the maker of Silent Hill and Siren..

Gravity Daze is one of the best Vita games seen yet. It's very original and takes advantage of all the vita's features to provide a unique gameplay experience....truly a praise worthy game.I will surely buy this and I hope for more future games like this on the Vita.

This game truly needs more advertisement, I ran into the video yesterday and I was utterly amazed. I'm glad Japan Studio was at the helm of this product because after Folklore I knew they had untapped potential, this maybe the game which shows their zenith.

There is depth to the controls in this game that we have not seen in quite some time or honestly ever. If there is some augmented reality stuff in there it I will go nuts. Really looking like the Vita Killer app.

Gravity Rush deserves it.

MasterCornholio4972d ago

What an innovative new ip.

Its sad that the game didn't sell too well.

:(

Acquiescence4972d ago

Y'know, considering it's a Vita game and all.

Studio-YaMi4972d ago

I bought my copy of the game just 4 days ago and I'm loving every moment of it :D !

r214972d ago

EleDive? Neat, I presume this wont come out internationally. And its good to see Gravity Rush not only get TGS2012 GOTY but also game designers :D One of this gen's(next gen?) greatest gems :)

Gravity rush is under appreciated in the west.. I think the game rocks.. Its not perfect cuz it needs more depth but it was a great vita launch window title.. If a sequel gets made, i will definitely buy it day 1, especially if they get more dev time & resources to build it.. This is one game i will have for the rest of my vitas life

Gravity Rush Review - Brutal Gamer

Brutal Gamer writes:

Sony Japan’s Gravity Daze finally hits these shores under the guise of Gravity Rush and Vita owners throughout the land issue forth a resounding “Hazzah!” for they finally have something to play since launch.

Snide swipe as the recent Vita software wasteland aside Vita owners should be excited for this new title. It offers up some truly unique elements and a large dollop of uniquely Japanese game play.

This game deserves nothing lower than a 9/10.

GuruStarr785050d ago

agreed.... i can see maybe an 8 here or there... but nothing below that.... its the best Vita game so far and one of my all time favorite games ever..

I hope we see a sequel..

It was really fun getting the platinum trophy, all I need now is the spy pack and I'll have 100%..

Even if you're not really into trophys, going for them in Gravity Rush makes the game a lot more fun!

SpinalRemains1385050d ago

Really? I only just started playing it, but I don't see why you have it that high. I suppose I'll have to keep playing to find out.

So far I find the comic scenes to be boring and too Japanese for my liking. Everything is so melodramatic. I'll trust you guys though and keep going before final judgement of course.

dafegamer5050d ago (Edited 5050d ago )

@SpinalRemains
comic scenes too japanese? I hope we are playing the same game cause the game does have a high european feeling.
The japanese only translate in the artstyle

SpinalRemains1385049d ago

You think so? All the characters say silly things just like they do in any Final Fantasy game. I find no European or western feel to it at all

dafegamer5045d ago

lol thats not even japanese their talking in this game that a made up language. Gibberish just like in Zelda games.
Also how can this feel japanese. The cutscenes doesnt implent soimething that has a japanese feel
As of the artstyle yes it has some japanese influence in art,but you can say that to all japanese made games including mario, final fantasy,
zelda, and so on

one2thr5050d ago

I can finally pick this game up this thursday <(^_^)>...
And after playing the demo about 16 times, i can say its more of an European city scape artstyle, and I also believe that the language within the Gravity Rush (not daze) is actually a made up language and not Japanese... From what I understood from the demo, and the tilting comic 3D scenes are awesome as well... Come on thursday!!
