We kill people in games to suppress our rage in real life, in my opinion. I might kill about a hundred people in a gaming session in an FPS game, but at least I never feel the urge to do so in real life.
Gamers are generally very calm, timid people and that's because they can de-stress by kicking back with a game and just forgetting about the rest of their life for a while.
