Bethesda could support Kinect “if it makes sense”

Bethesda “would look to support” motion controls in their hardcore games such as the Elder Scrolls titles – if “it does something we can’t already do with a normal controller.”

If it is an optional feature, I don't see the problem.

Blacktric5440d ago (Edited 5440d ago )

Exactly. Buy since most people on N4G hate Kinect, they don't even want to hear its name alongisde Bethesda. I'm also fine with it as long as it's optional and won't force gamers to buy it to finish a quest or get special items and delay the release date of course. We've waited long enough.

zinkabassy5440d ago (Edited 5440d ago )

Or they could spent time to polish game more and make it a better game,..

BreakNeckSpeed5440d ago

Lol @ the disagrees

Since when was an optional feature a bad thing. Look at Gun smith in Ghost recon for example.

Vega755440d ago

having kinect as an "optional feature" isn't a bad thing at all. but you have sonyfanboys upset that kinect is getting so much love by other dev's and the same isn't happening for the move.

now think about this move is used as an "optional feature" for games that support it. yet every sonyfanboy will praise it because it's optional. yet they swear kinect is forced on people even when the dev's explain is only a option to controllers or a hybrid game. sonyfanboys are the most hypocritical fanboys of all time

Machioto5440d ago

@ break Sense some 360 guys said the same to discredit ps movve. yeah like you vega, kinect doesn't make sense in this game because moving, casting spells ,sword play would be weird at least ps move could work as shown by way they demoed it the navi controls the spells and movement ,move controls the spells.

Vega755440d ago

what 360 fanboy's try to discredit the move. please provide a link to your BS. cause i've yet to see any 360 owner say anything about the move other than it looks like a dildo and they stole the concept from nintendo.

all i hear sonyfanboys like yourself claim how retarded someone would look flailing their arms around to kinect. but you don't think you would equally as retarded flailing a dildo with a light ball on the end of it. but that's not retarded looking because you have something in your hand that resembles a penis right? right

oh look,

people trolling move..thought it never happened ¬_¬, yeah, goes both ways....hol up a sec....is that YOU vega;)

Fact is move is better for current games whether its an alternative or stand alone. Kinect not so much. It cant be used as an alternative for 90% of game genres right now. Whether it ever will be able to is another question and time will tell so no point speculating.

Kinect is better for games built from the ground up but you have to be blind not to see that they are simplistic. At least be honest with yourself. Dont worry about haters because there will be some but just be honest. Most kinect stuff is simple and the other half is on rails...Im not saying it isnt fun or intuitive or doesnt sell im just saying its for simple games as of now. No killzone or socom type integration. You may not even want that type of experience but by NOT having those it limits kinects application.. As an add on to pad controlled games kinect has more potential in my opinion. Head tracking and gestures could add fun mechanics to existing games.

Haters and doubters/skeptics are different and should NOT be bundled together.

I do see it as a problem if its optional. Waste of human thought, brain cells and time. Plus the map will be 1/3 smaller because of all these issues above. Yeah I see no problem either. As Ikram said Please, please don't.

It would be awesome, and very very nerdy, if you could wave you hands in a certain way to cast certain spells! :D But as long as it is optional obviously. Gotta have options :)

halocursed5440d ago

Just don't delay the release!

Simco8765440d ago

Fallout 4 better not be on rails. Or the war is going to face a real nuclear Holocaust

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981166d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
