E3 2011: EA screams, Activision barely whispers

CVG: Want to own Los Angeles? You're going to have to go big, or go home.

Activision's stand is around a third of the size of its biggest rival's, containing very little colour, and just a handful of modestly-sized TV screens showing trailers.

Bobby needs his bonus money more then E3....not to mention all they have is the same'ole games with new covers for around 60 bones.

Megaton5481d ago

Activision never has a huge presence there. Last year all they did was host a private concert for 5,000 people.

really like ea since they have changed around a lot make some new ip and better game engines i have really enjoyed their games. barely own any games from activision

Personally, I don't like EA's online pass bullsh!t. Forcing you to pay again if others in your family want a separate account to play online. I already paid for the game...

Activision makes their price up front, you want it, you gotta pay for it.

£15 at most for an online pass for infinite time on a game, or £5 a month on another? hmmmn??????

gamingdroid5480d ago (Edited 5480d ago )

Yes, but on the other, I get top notch features that aren't on other consoles. I also get a great active community and staff/division that actively goes after cheaters and bans them.

I can't exactly say EA is providing any value added service for my $15 for each person that I already paid for with the game.

hmmmm?

@gamingdroid If you want to have a member of your family playing on another account with the call of duty elite service then that is going going to have to be bought monthly as well. Also all of the features provided in this Call of duty elite are allready provided by games such as halo (Bungies Banhammer?) and battlefield 3 ( http://n4g.com/news/778679/... ) for free.

gamingdroid5479d ago (Edited 5479d ago )

For one we don't actually know what is in CoD: Elite so it is a moot point to discuss.

However, what is certain is what has always been free with CoD i.e. online play, stays free! Anyone in my family (or friends) can play CoD online at any time. No fees, no charge, no BS. In addition, there is a free tier to CoD Elite as well.

Whatever the paid section is, we don't know yet nor the price so we really don't know if it is or is NOT offered by others for free despite what those amateur bloggers say.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee104d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way
