EA solving Kinect problem for FIFA 13

Want to play FIFA using your body as the controller? You'll have to wait a bit. EA told Eurogamer this week that Kinect support for the series isn't planned until the launch of FIFA 13 next year.

Indeed, EA is still working out how it will incorporate motion-sensing add-on Kinect into the FIFA series.

But it has promised one thing: Kinect support won't be tacked on.

I wonder how far ahead these guys plan...

Penalty kicks is my guess, that would be the best implementation. Other than that, you can't be running around a whole field.

RARE's Kinect Sports already showed how you can integrate Kinect into that experience..but I can't wait to see what EA comes up with..

They tacked on Move onto last year's Tiger and it was horrible. I'm acrtually gun shy for Masters.

I'm glad they are taking their time with the implementation..big news for Kinect regardless.

Voice control your team mates is one idea. Scan you in for character customization is another just on the top of my head.

Did you see that Auto avatar demonstration..the tech already exists..but you are right it'd be cool if gthey used it in Mass Effect 3..with your face? That would be crazy..

Not putting Kinect on the first place would solved it's problem.

The "problem" being that Kinect doesn't do conventional games only wave your arms like you are having a seizure games.

Not all outdated football games are worthless

Games Asylum: "Outdated football games are a common sight when scouring jumble sales, car boots and charity shops for bargain price video games. Often they end up in bargain bins, sitting alongside unwanted celebrity fitness DVDs and seemingly random TV show box sets. But here’s the thing. Not all football games gathering dust in the likes of Oxfam are in fact worthless."

Now Sonic Boom & Bayonetta 2 are being outsold by FIFA 13 Wii U

Just who is buying FIFA 13 on Wii U? We may never know, but there are more people buying that than there are Bayonetta 2 and Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric.

Sonic Boom? welp, sucks to suck.
But, Bayonetta is a real shame

wonderfulmonkeyman4205d ago

Sonic Boom is riding off the popularity of the TV show; it's a bad game.

And as for FIFA?
Well, guess that goes to show that there's a lot of older gamers on Wii U that wanted FIFA, then; sports games generally do out-sell action games, and Platinum isn't known for large sales in the first place.

I'm not worried for Bayonetta. It'll hit that 1M mark by the middle of next year, surely, at its current pace.

are seriously trying to downplay Bayonetta 2 with sales
