Because it's a Battlefield game. They've all played basically the same.

That's one thing it's known for; huge maps. Sounds good in theory but it's so boring once you get over the novelty.

I don't see why people like running a mile before encountering anyone.

And don't say "hop in a jet or tank". Most of the time there aren't any because your teammates have taken them first. So, you're left to either wait until one respawns or to run across miles and miles of virtual terrain just to get sniped. By the time you respawn, an opposing player with a tank has had time to make his way to your side of the map and is camping out and spawn killing you over and over.

Yeah, loads of fun.

Join a squad. When you die, you can respawn with your teammates. Also, there are almost always jeeps around that you can drive. Oh, and there's the ability to choose where to spawn so you aren't really that far from the frontlines.

I will say this though, the controls are the one thing that does have me worried about BF3. I really didn't like the way BC2 moved. COD clearly has BF beat in terms of mouse movement (I play on the PC) BC2 felt like it was sluggish to move the cursor or something. Almost like it was moving in syrup.

I bet you're one of the ones who drives a tank over to the opposing players side and waits for them to spawn.

Their response?

"We're trying to just keep a solid 60 FPS."

You wanna make your mind up. If they are hiding behind a wall and shoot you they are camping on MW, yet if they are hiding in a building and shoot you, they are snipers on BBC2, funny really. As for playing COD I'm actually a Battlefield player,but it's bloody annoying how easy it is to snipe on BBC2, so get off your high horse.

Sniping is easy in BFBC2, different story in BF2, and I'm expecting it will be in BF3 too. (?)

Anyways, I'm sure Dice can balance it out.

Camping has been apart of gaming since forever, no matter WHAT gun you use, nobody should blame BC2, blame the players.

Nope you can spend around £400 and play this at better setting than PS3/360.

Also no matter what anyone says PC is cheaper than consoles fact, just get 100 games, them consoles will look like overpriced happy-meal toys with sub par games.

They are showing pc because bf3 is the successor to bf2 which was a pc exclusive. We are their demographic so it only makes sense that they will give us the most love out of the bunch. Not justifying the fact that they aren't releasing console footage, I get that, I was a psfanboy (I know.. I know...) before I found pc and I felt the same way.

Dice have stated that it will have lower resolution, and AA, but that's not a big surprise, but it's still running in same FB2 engine, so I'm pressuming it look superb anyway.

They are showing PC footage, since this is direct sequel to a PC game. Most of Dice's fans are on that platform, so it makes sense.

Also didn't they mention there will be open-beta for ALL platforms before the release, so everybody can try it out before the final product.

I'm just tired of everybody trying to be Call of Duty. Yes, it's a fun game (at least it was), but I feel like everyone is trying to get a piece of the pie and so far nobody has been able to come close.

I'm much more into third person view now. (Socom 4, RDR, GTA IV, Uncharted 2)

I guess I just like to see who I'm controlling. The thing about me is, even in first person, I don't think of my player as being "me", but rather I'm controlling someone else... so third person works better with that mindset.

Yea i know it's the simple fact that everybody has a job they have to do. One person can throw the whole game off. I don't even play team deathmatch in modern warfare simply because you can be the best player and get two teammates that go 3-20 and not only get attacked by all kind of killstreaks throwing your k/d ratio off but ultimately lose the match too.
I'm with mw3 all the way if they fix spawns it's just my kind of game.
BF3 PC graphics look better than MW3 console footage but it isn't a fair comparison.
Not saying BF won't look better than call of duty because it still will it just won't be this big of a difference.

which is why many aren't willing to give up COD for BF3.
At least COD offers various modes where all gamers can find something they like.
Even for the fanboys that complain about killstreaks and perks who seem to overlook Bare Bones Pro
