couldn't disagree more. this is by far the most over-hyped garbage gave i've ever played. not to say it's the worst game ever...but it looked good and had so much promise and it was a massive let down.

the other reviewers (you know..the ones that make all their money from advertising from the publishers of these crap games) were being far too nice to brink. it's just a bad BAD game.

i wanted this game to be good...it was one of my most anticipated games of the year, and it's just pure crap.

lets compare it to the game it's obviously trying hardest to compete with...TF2. TF2 wasn't a full priced retail game, you got more diverse classes, better balance, better graphics, better gunplay, better community, more maps, etc... brink was full priced, looks absolutely dreadful, wasn't optimized at all for ati cards (was almost un-runnable on some ati cards), has no campaign mode (just MP maps with the WORST AI i've seen this generation), despite all the customization all the characters look the same, etc..

it's a freaking terrible game that shouldn't have been released...and if it needed to be released, it should have been 15 dollars and released as a live arcade game. it's junk.

EDIT: i guess everyone's standards have been reduced to basically nothing. or somehow you feel that you need to show some type of support for a game you were duped into buying...i have no idea. i can't imagine ppl are agreeing with the tool above and disagreeing with me though unless they didn't actually play the game...or they feel really stupid for buying it so they pretend it's better than it actually is (kinda like ps3 for the first year of launch when it was 600 dollars and its best game was Lair). who knows...i give up trying to understand you ppl.

i'm just glad i was able to talk steam into giving me my money back on Brink. dodged a bullet there...used the money to get Witcher 2...an infinitely better purchase.

Unfortunately N4G doesn't convey GameXplains rating system. 1 out of 5 doesn't really equal 20%. They also rate multiplayer separately which in Brinks case earned it a 2 out of 5 stars.

5 Stars = Awesome
4 Stars = Great
3 Stars = Good
2 Stars = Meh
1 Star = Terrible
