Wow now i am confused.

Things like this are starting to make me lose trust in N4G. Mods spending too much time banning people, arguing with members, and not enough time monitoring what gets submitted. N4G is a good idea on paper but in reality, it fails. No wonder people mock this site in game forums.

Ugh now I'm waayyy confused.....

How long was this a problem if they wrote a way into the firmware to detect the error?
This can't have just been realised today, or even in the last week or so.
First Sony, now Microsoft, I'm sick of BOTH gaming companies seemingly taking us for granted. I won't go to Nintendo though (I'm a graphics whore, but can't afford a decent gaming PC), but I am seriously cheesed off at Sony's response to customers (happy with free games, but unhappy that they seemingly had no plan in place to respond to a hack and get the PSN back online again) and now this? Well, this is why I didn't run out and get a 360 in response.

This is confusing. If it's not the new update, how can a 360 user recognize that his RROD is due to some previous (unspecified) update, not unrelated hardware fault, for example. I think many people will send their consoles to MS just to be turned down because "they don't qualify". Or will all those 360s be replaced? In that case, find any broken 360 for $5 and... instant win!

Anyone notice that there isn't SWARMS of negative press about this?

So very few people had problems with there box when the update rolled around. Now this guy "clears the confusion" by saying none of that really happened.

Oh yeah that makes perfect freakin sense.

The 3-year warrenty doesn't apply to X360-S consoles -- they only get 1 year.

consoles are mess up.. lets all go back to pc

I hope mine needs to be replaced, I had to buy a new arcade 2 months before the new 360S came out and am still using a 20gb drive from a launch system.
