5 games worth looking forward to

MyGaming writes:

"This is but a sampling of new games to look forward to. Some are right around the corner, others on the horizon, and the rest still a long way off without any concrete release dates. Still, that won’t stop us from indulging in a favourite pastime of gamers – anticipation."

Battlefield 3 is already making me wet my pants.

I had to buy new pants after that 12 minute video.

You know why?

I POOPED EM!

Thing that bugs me about articles like this is that you can just read the tags to know what games they're talking about so you no longer need to read the article :/

Can't believe The Witcher 2 is out in 10 days, a heavy RPG of the year contender. And I haven't got the tech to play it even. Damn I need a job...

My personal top 5 (of games that are coming out this year, mind you):

01. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception
02. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
03. Assassin's Creed Revelations
04. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
05. Catherine

My list would probably be a lot different. I don't really get into RPG's so Elder Scrolls is gone for one, and Catherine just isn't my cup of tea at all.

I'm also not yet interested in Revelation yet after the dissapointment of Brotherhood. The thing that made ACII stand out for me was how complete the game felt, nothing really felt like they had rushed through it trying to reach a deadline. For me Brotherhood is just the complete opposite, too much repeated mission design for one. One year just isn't enough time to develop an open world game like AC if you ask me.

Amyway, here is my list (Games coming out this year):

1. Dirt 3 - Brilliant mix of sim and more arcady racing
2. Battlefield 3 - I'm a long time BF fan, and even though I am not sucked into the hype like 99% of the internet seems to be I'm sure it will be a fantastic game
3. Infamous 2 - First game was far from perfect but still a hugely enjoyable open world game, I expect the same from the sequel
4. Rage - Looks like a FPS and RPG mix which is the sort of RPG I want to get into (Borderlands was still too much of an RPG for me)
5. Modern Warfare 3 - I don't care about the disagree's I'll get for this, CoD campaigns are always frantically fast paced and full of awesome moments. Sure they aren't original, but they are still thrilling. MP is good for a bit of casual noob owning fun.
6. Resistance 3 - R2 was my favourite PS3 exclusive until Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Campaign looks a bit amateurish if you ask me but MP looks intense.

I agree with you on Rage and Modern Warfare 3, maybe Battlefield 3, as well. But we definitely don't have the same tastes lol. Which is fine. I hate inFamous so that's not on my list at all.

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981155d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
