Same reason there are companies searching for people on Youtube to promote and exploit from. Why do you think FRED of all people got his own crappy movie. Any company will find something popular and use it for their benefit, even if it sucks, and even if they know it sucks. Seeing how HHG knows absolutely jack squat about this industry and pretty much technology in general, he's built off a persona using urban culture to carry himself to the position he's in.

Your twisting my words around. The only point I was making was that if I "supposedly" have no logic for supporting HHG, then Sony has no logic as well since they are supporting the same thing.

Now back to my original and ONLY question:

Does SCEA have poor judgement for supporting HHG? Yes or No?

ok bungie has made one ip that has had a significant impact on the gaming world but the one ip they did make was the game that made gaming bigger than the movie industry halo 2 was the biggest entertainment earner of all time when it came out even being single platform it was huge if they could do that i cant wait to see what they do when they go multi plat

Well in two answers, as a company it's a smart decision, but morally it's a terrible decision.

This is what you wrote, but now your contradicting yourself by saying that Sony as a company made a "smart decision" How would it be "smart" for Sony to support a person that knows "absolutely jack squat" about the industry?

How is him not knowing jack about the industry make their choice to use him for their benefit a contradiction? Do you not understand how advertising companies work? You're making it sound as if just because SCEA chose him to be their puppet, it's the right choice regardless, it's smart business wise for their purpose. It's called exploiting his popularity for their benefit, it's a not a foreign move by any company, derp FRED movie.

Unless your saying that the only reason Sony wants HHG on board is because they want a black Hiphop loving cheerleader for their games as a marketing tool towards the urban crowd(similar to Marcus)

i dont know about you guys
but i dont think that Bungie's next game would be as big as HALO

lets get real in here
Halo is a good game but without that MS hype/advertising machine it would had never been that big of a game

and i dont think activision is going to give this game any COD treatment since
1- its not COD
2- Bungie said that they told activision in order to work with them they dont want anyone to fuck around with them while doing their game
