Too soon...

What is it with EA and its DLC and Online Passes...

StartWars5545d ago

In fairness, it hasn't been officially announced by EA yet but was found amongst the PC files.

They should be more creative in their approach. They should make DLC exclusive for a certain console in 1 release (aka hotpursuit for PS3), next release (aka Shift 2 make it for 360 only). PC gamers can be sidelined they can watch and laugh as both the console bases dish it out for something that previously used to be free.

The above approach will ensure much more DLC is sold as both console bases will feel their exclusive platform is getting exclusive support. No way a console fan will not pay for a dlc that is exclusive.

OMG, Developers Are F*cking Greedy, Who Says EA Has Changed, They Are The Same As Activision

undercovrr5544d ago

Are you serious? I mean i'm ok with new cars, tracks, etc. But a new game mode (and such a popular one) that could EASILY have been included in the game? wow...*&$% YOU EA!

ian725544d ago

DLC known about before release of a game is becoming the norm now.
This is one thing that has been bad this gen. No-one seems to be releasing a full game now, if you want the full game you have to buy DLC.

spenn20105544d ago

You kids are missing the point. the DLC is already on the disk. EA has been and the games they're publishing this year are great, but they do tend to get greedy and after battlefield Bad Company two I will not be buying any DLC thats already on the disk PERIOD.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee98d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
