beta patch wtf? And why doesn't the patch address the abysmal DX11 performance for nvidia cards? I guess we have to wait for updated drivers.

joydestroy5537d ago (Edited 5537d ago )

release control issues? anyone know wtf that is?

and i'm with you, MegaMohsi! i've read about horrible performance regarding nVidia cards and DX11 specifically.

i'm running MSI GTX 560 in SLI and they get rather warm. there are some things i'm going to try when i get home, though, for example have you tried the beta drivers released this month?

also, some are saying this helps
http://www.overclock.net/pc...

and this
http://www.overclock.net/pc...

this is all stuff i'll try when i get home. i have no issues really while running in High, but if i switch to very high, it CRAWLS!

but regarding them fixing it for DX11/SLI, this will come in the form of a driver update from nVidia so here's to hoping they get a final release out for it soon-ish

same here i have a gtx 460, running on high w/ ssao and high res textures at 1920x1080 I get about 30-35 fps (which i feel is low). If I turn off SSAO I get about 60fps. Turn settings to very high and I get single digit framerates and black patches everywhere, someone better fix this soon.

wtf has gaming come to? 'beta patches' seriously. Isn't it enough that you took our $60, you want us to test your game as well?

ItsEvan5537d ago

I'm not sure about this game, but some really competitive multiplayer games like Counterstrike, Team Fortress 2, and Starcraft 2 use beta patches so that they can streamline the process and tune their games better.

This is, however, a single player game, so I don't know what the f- is going on.

BeastlyRig5537d ago

Don't expect long term support from them besides dlc..

maskedaprentice5537d ago (Edited 5537d ago )

They can't patch adventure into it though!
Zing!

Maybe a silly question, but is there any news on upcoming console patches? Oh hell, I'll just go look it up myself...

Dragon Age Lead Says Including World State Reactivity Felt Like It Was "Irrelevant Or Not Enough"

Dragon Age 2 set the precedent that the series would always carry our choices over, but was it worth it?

If the choices won't matter, why bother? Bioware works so hard at giving meaningful choices but rarely if ever carrying out the impact of such choices to the end.

Mass Effect - N7 DAY 2025

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."

I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed

Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.

toxic-inferno184d ago

I feel the same way.

I mean, how difficult would it be for them to release SOMETHING of substance? Another short trailer? A couple of proper hints? A short story set during the original trilogy, but focused on fringe characters?

Hopefully they're working so hard on the game that they don't have time. But still, with every passing year and so little to show, the franchise will be slipping further and further from people's minds.

Profchaos184d ago

Yeah agree it's almost a cop out since Dev times are 5 to 10 years just throw out a few seasons instead you get them done in a year

I still haven’t beat Andromeda. I am waiting for a lull of good games in my backlog

P_Bomb184d ago

So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?

Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”

BioWare needs to follow Larian’s lead and just “embrace people’s cool choices”, veteran EA developer

Speaking on a recent episode of the FRVR Podcast, veteran EA developer Alex Hutchinson—who worked on The Sims 2, Spore and Army of Two: The 40th Day—explained that the studio is already no longer the studio fans fell in love with, but it should be safe from censorship of its games’ political beliefs.

Who didn’t see this coming lol

BioWare should find the center and focus. Chasing someone else’s shadow will likely lead to failure.
