Wishlist for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Elder Scrolls V Skyrim is probably one of the most anticipated RPGs, nay, games, of 2011. Its predecessor Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion has been out for 6 years now and is still one of [Scott's] favourite games. No matter how much [Scott] love[s] Oblivion, [he] [is] aware it has problems. Skyrim news and features are trickling in but there are some main points [he] really hope they hit.

Love the way Oblivion is treated like the first Elder scrolls with most sites. Half the things in this article were in Morrowind. The other half has been confimed for Skyrim. The morrowind half is what Bethesda admitted were missing from Oblivon and is exactly what they're trying to achieve with Skyrim.

""""I think that most gamers have a special place in their heart for Oblivion. I have many chats with my pals about our experiences in the game and we all reminisce about the great adventures. All fans want change and upgrades but we also want all of those elements that came together to create what is Oblivion. Sometimes after a long hiatus franchises can forget who they are (in many formats and mediums) and this is one thing RPG fans in particular dislike. I want a game that feels like Elder Scrolls but is also improved in every way. That’s not that much to ask for is it?""""&am p;am p;am p;qu ot;"

This whole paragraph just shows that he has only played Oblvion. Fans of the Elder scrolls know what is missing from Oblivon that makes the older games better, and they know what Oblvion brought to the table. For me the Subtractions outwayed the additions for Oblvion from Morrowind.

Imo Oblvion is the Lowest point an Elder scrolls game can possibly get at this point in time, and it was still a goodgame at that. Skyrim WILL be better. I can assure myself of that, it's a clean mix of both morrowind and Oblivion with a new combat system that should destroy all previous bethesda games going by the sound of it. Along with decent graphics and animations and the Radiant Ai apparently what they wanted with in Oblivion.

I liked Oblivion more than Morrowind personally, but definitely missed some of the great aspects of Morrowind. Hopefully Skyrim will be a nice combination of the two.

Just don't go the DA2 route and you'll be fine, Bethesda.

Wow, you hit it on the head. Great job. I am so eagerly awaiting this game. I've thought to myself and shouted to others that if bioware and Bethesda got together, they'd craft the greatest RPG ever, assuming they mashed all their pros together. Imagine an expansive, living, breathing world alongside an epic, brilliant script, w top notch actors and animations; Real consequences and relationships, with endless customization. I am actually salivating right now. And as u mentioned, unless Bioware is part of it, don't replicate their successes. Let their ideas inspire you to craft something epic. To highlight, my absolute biggest concern is the leveling. I played two worlds 2 and it was so refreshing to get demolished and then level up and return w vengeance. Today's rpgs, bioware especially, feel it is necessary to create finite enemies and loot, making u sweat out ur leveling and upgrading until the credits roll. Allow us to grind if we choose. And allow us to bring justice to those enemies that were once too damn difficult. I don't know where the fine line is but i am rooting for Bethesda to locate it. Also, great personal note. Its something I've always missed and hoped for but assumed it was a consequence of console gaming. Good job, man.

The main thing I am hoping for is that the game plays smoothly. With Bethesda you just don't know how good the final product will be. If it ends up being plagued with freezing issues, I'll be royally pissed off.

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
