In detail why the Mass Effect series should be the best RPG game than all.

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
Nice grammar ;)
lol
What the ... ?
"I'm feeling like I'm in a minority that didn't find the sequel to be that hot, because no one has agreed with me in the online social constructs I've commented."
I agree with you. Mass effect is a good series but it has a LOT of room for improvement:
# SO MANY GOD DAMN BUGS, I DONT WANT TO BE SUDDENLY STUCK IN THE FECKIN CEILING - had to get that off my chest
# The gameplay is really linear, they try to disguise it as being more than that but it just isn't
# The side missions have nothing to them
# The repercussions of your decisions tend to make no sense at all, and it gets to a point where you can tell that they are trying to make you think that one decision is good when its programmed to be wrong
# They need to polish the controls a lot more, eg: when you try to skip some voice - it uses every damn button to select a dialogue choice and sometimes it makes you do something you weren't intending on
# They are using the unreal engine horribly, the environments are lazily stuck together (hence the bugs/glitches) and are very poorly optimised
# The combat gets extremely repetitive because they rely on Unreal to do everything for them (cover system rubbish that is the same in every god damn unreal game)
# The AI is junk, which is odd because the AI in other unreal games is a _lot_ better
# Some image quality is badly placed in areas that the user won't notice - then there are really low res textures on walls that cover large areas of the screen, even in areas they KNOW the user will look at (eg, during a cut scene).
# The crappy textured height-map worlds in 1 were horrible and the stupid scanning thing in 2 is even worse
# The menu systems are dire
Honestly I think they stuck good writers on the team and a whole bunch of idiots to do the technical stuff. The story/lore is pretty good and they do try to present an awesome game universe - but because DVDs are so small and they need the 360 sales, they have no way to fit enough content into the game for it to be mind blowing. (they could admit that it is linear instead of hiding it with repetitive "choose 3 locations again" things and put it on multiple disks)
All in all, they say: "Here is this awesome universe, but you can only play in these few corridors... you might even come back later to do another generic mission with another generic character (with good voice acting). Have fun imagining what the rest of this place might be like"

But yeah, I'd still happily play mass effect, I just don't think it is anywhere near as good as people seem to think it is. In fact, mass effect is just a KOTOR with their own IP and a lot less depth to the gameplay.
