I just don't believe it's that good. Especially I find the first one to be an unoriginal crap. And too many sites, too often give 10/10 to games now. 10/10 supposed to meant something back in the days.

that its a travesty for ANY game to get a 10 out of 10? Or is it only OK to give out 10s when you agree with a review. Reviews are opinions, and this guy clearly like the game. Bad games can get good scores from some people, just like good games can get bad scores from some too.

but yes, dead space 2 is easily good enough to get a 10 outa 10 from someone who enjoys this type of game.

The real question is who's opinion should we value more, some guy who gave a high score to a game they really enjoyed, or someone who says the game doesnt deserve a high score even though they havent played the game and clearly already made up their mind when they didnt like the first one.

I understand that someone might find it 10/10. Is beyond me how, but I understand. It's just look silly when all that small (and not so small) sites trow 10/10 at half the games they play. That's all.

Well, for starters, I'm sure there are plenty of games I never bought which did, somehow, still, meet their sales-expectations.

Concerning Dead Space; I never played and thus cared for the original. It's in multiple genres (shooter, sci-fi, horror) I don't particularly care about so it was barely on my radar pre-launch. I was never its target-audience.

When reviews hit, and it was scoring big, it gathered my interest, so while it wasn't in my field of interest, it mrans that I wanted to give it a fair shot and at least give it a try, as I do with many games across different genres; I tend to just cherry-pick the good stuff and see if it's for me or not.

But, I do wait for sales on those games I take a risk on.
