I love the postive things valve said about the ps3. It a shame that M$ is so close minded with their console. This is why they lost FF14 and they lost steam on the 360.

Kran5575d ago (Edited 5575d ago )

Who is worse though?

Microsoft or Activision?

Personally, i'd have to say Microsoft. Yes, I like their 360, but theres so much more they could do with the 360 and they just won't do it!!!

I aint read the article, but i bet they'll ask about episode three.

"with Valve now on the full development train for PlayStation 3, can we expect future games — Half-Life 2: Episode 3 or Left 4 Dead 3,"

.... I was "ish" right. XD

"One of the great things about Sony is they have an open platform, that we’re able to work with them on unique things. We’ve placed Steamworks into the Sony build. We have cross-play, where you can be playing on PlayStation 3 and I can be playing on PC and we can play [co-op] together. That’s pretty awesome. We have a cloud functionality where you can play part of your game on PS3, save, go to your PC, pick up and start playing from there, go back, back and forth. Achievements across both ways. And if you buy a PlayStation 3 copy, we’re going to give you a Steam code for free. So there’s a lot of stuff that we’re able to do with Sony that we’re really excited about."

The F?! Im getting the PC version for free if I buy the PS3 version? Holy shit.

Blacktric5575d ago (Edited 5575d ago )

Morning. Joking aside, it's another reason to buy the PS3 version.

Here we go with valve talking up this new game portal 2. But its actually a half life 2 mod. And now we can sit in a circle together and play coop. Big freaking deal. You made the best fps in history. You got a game like counter strike just begging for a sequel. The majority of fps players play counter strike on steam. I don't understand why we are not seeing counter strike 2. Every fps game that comes get popular makes a billion dollars but replay value sucks each time. Except counter strike. Mw2 came out was the number 1 game on the pc. And a couple of months later it dropped. Counter strike is king start paying attention to us.

I doubt this would happen, but it would be pretty awesome if CS source was going to be on ps3. Will never happen though XD

It would be great if we were able to purchase games off steam to our ps3's.

Valve responds to NY Attorney General lawsuit

Valve has responded to New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit against the firm, stating it does not believe that lootboxes in its Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2 games unlawfully encourage minors to gamble, adding it was "disappointed" to see the action go ahead despite efforts to "educate" the NYAG about virtual items since "early 2023."
