Elder-Geek.com editor Randy Yasenchak has made a rather interesting promise to his readers about Skyrim:
"A lot of you know that I make my own video reviews for the site. I play through the game. I capture my own footage. I write my own script. I record my own audio, etc. But what many don’t know about me is that I abstain from previews and demos before I put my hands on the actual game. I do my absolute best to not have a preconceived notion of what a game will be like before I review it. I partially do that because I hate to have the experience spoiled for me, but moreso, I do it because I feel it makes the review feel more “pure” or “genuine.”"
A new Skyrim Switch 2 update delivers major visual upgrades, surpassing some console settings, but locks the game to 30fps and introduces noticeable input lag.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim lead designer Bruce Nesmith explains that the game's bucket stealth was an unintended feature of the game.

Lordbound is finally here.
Personally, I think he's a bit nuts for trying it, but it's a pretty cool idea. I could never go that long without watching a trailer.
I'm doing the same with Mass Effect 3. Not so much because I don't want to see anything about it before it's released, but because the videos and previews for 2 spoiled SO much of the game, more than any other game I've ever played before, such as everyone in your crew and commander Shepard being able to die. It may not seem like a big deal, but can anyone honestly say that they wouldn't have done things differently without the threat of losing a party member or your main character looming over you? Also, the available squadmates and their personalities were ruined for me as well, as long as some surprises such as Garrus rejoining the team. They even made it a "secret" in the game by calling him Archangel and having him wear a helmet every time they show him up until your eventual meeting. Wow it's Garrus, omg what a surprise! Wait, no it's not, cause they ruined it months before the game came out. Bah.
As for a game like this, the story is the least important aspect, which is why I think it's okay to watch and read things about it. The only thing I'm ever really annoyed by is the spoiling of story and key characters or events. If it's just some screenshots or info about how the combat system has been improved, it's not a big deal.
