2010's Worst Games

"As we say goodbye to 2010 and embrace 2011, I thought it would be a good idea to take a look back at some of the bad games that were (somehow) made. This is my personal top 5 worst games of 2010."

What games did you hate from 2010?

-Alpha5590d ago (Edited 5590d ago )

I'm just here to give you a flamesuit for putting GT5 (first) on that list.

Nothing wrong with that IMO. Maybe hes just not a driving sim fan. And..its just ONE opinion.

@HungryGoku- Half of Japan thinks Monster Hunter is "amazing"...but that doesn't mean the rest of the world has to think the same way. Whats amazing for one person doesn't have to be amazing for another...even though certain people on this site create the illusion that their opinions are written in stone.

@Alpha-Male22- Ur right. Because N4G is about 90% fanboy, sites very often include big hitters in their "Worst games of the year " segment to generate hits. And it works too. It won't take long to see this go up to 200 degrees and have a couple of blind fanboys defending their purchase...without realizing that this is only ONE man's opinion.

As far as GT5 being one of the WORST games of 2010...its not to be taken literally here. It was probably one of the worst for him personally because he may have expected more from the game.

-Alpha5590d ago (Edited 5590d ago )

I can understand that he was disappointed, but I sincerely doubt it was one of the WORST games of 2010.

These articles include 1 or 2 big hitters for the sake of controversy. Let's face it, a list of 10 games nobody cares about or hasn't heard about wont generate anything past 5 comments, especially considering that this topic is constantly done to death every year end on N4G.

ikkeweer5590d ago (Edited 5590d ago )

@dead, I don't mind fanboys, but I do mind fanboys calling everyone else fanboys. They're like the trolls we fight in the dungeons in games. Gotta love smacking them down.

GT5, Medal of Honor, and K&L 2 (honestly play the game it was pretty decent) weren't bad,

R_aVe_N5590d ago

You have to be freaking kidding me.... All the shit games that came out last year and those were the ones you picked? I am not a racing fan and even I know it is a good game.

Gran Turismo 5
Dark Void
Kane and Lynch 2
Medal of Honor
Command & Conquer 4

For those who just don't want to give hits to the site.

TANUKI5590d ago

Not the worst game of 2010, but definitely my worst purchase of 2010 (MAFIA 2).

So bland that game...

jimbone795590d ago

I guess I can understand that, but shooting up the place with the Tommy gun just felt so satisfying to me.

Who cares Gt5 is amazing every one jaws drop when they look at it.

MGRogue20175590d ago (Edited 5590d ago )

Medal of Honor was actually pretty good. I still play it.

Bathyj5590d ago

Just got the Redbull X2010.
If you dont like GT you obviously havent driven it.
And you thought the Formula cars were a rush, try doing 500kph in this thing.

wu-stix5590d ago

I can't beat the special event to get one because driving the car is insane. I did get one free when I got to B-spec level 35. It is now my B-spec car.

Bathyj5590d ago

Yeah, thats how I got it.

The challenge is so FKN hard, I did 2 laps in 3 minutes thinking I was pretty quick, but SV did it in just over 2. Bastard.

B-Spec mode is definitely the easiest way to get, although I'm about 400K away from buying one too.

mushroomwig5590d ago

How many games were released in 2010? He picked 5 for the list and GT5 had to be in there? Come on, the game may have been slightly disappointing to certain people, but in the top 5 of a worst games list? That's ridiculous.

Besides, Sony weren't building the hype nearly as much as certain internet users.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee78d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein112d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator112d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
