Just an FYI. If you read the brief specs in the picture, this thing only has an IR transmitter and IR receiver. It does not have a VGA camera or the microphone array and most like no tilting mechanism. This should be much cheaper than kinect

First off motion control started on the PC. it amazes me that some people are so wrap up in the commercials of their favorite console maker that they just have no brain and fail to realize EVERYTHING starts on the PC then gets ported to consoles.

Quadriplegics have been gaming, controlling wheelchairs, and using PC for years, whether it's by head motion, brain waves, or speech. Yes I said it brain waves, read something other than Flaimbiat articles once in awhile.

All this tech was made possible because of the PC then ported to console for mass market. It's not new, it's not innovative it's just the same stuff repackaged and now easier to make a buck off of. Motion sensing web cams with facial and motion sensing software have been around for years.

So lets say everybody makes a Kinect type of camera, then what a few great exercise games and shovelware? No one has said what the great use of this device will be. So far all hype and no filler. I do see the Pc version helping in moving forward to Holographic images instead of monitors in some areas of business and retail use but not for games, well not CORE gaming.

For example your in a Mall and you want to find a store and item. walk up to the camera, presto a 3D holographic image pops up, you point to the store, a little razzle dazzle and the store pops up then you get a map showing where you are in the mall and how to get to the store. point to the stores inventory and point to your item and now you see your items price and how many that store has.
Swipe your hand left now your back one menu etc.

No germs on a mouse, no broken mouse, no broken LCD screen. No body touches anything and the info could be updated Wireless 24/7.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
