Yep even I who own it for 360 will pre-order this as soon as the funds land. Why? Because it was the main reason for me getting a 360 and one of the best games on it. Since it's coming over and Mass Effect 3 will hit for it as well I can now use my PS3 for everything and not have to switch back and forth. Though there is still Lost Odyssey...

I think it is but i'm going have to pick it up at a later date. With x-mas comeing i've got money for 2 games in jan dead space 2 and two worlds 2. I'll pick up ME2 in feb or march.

If you want a great single player game that you can play through several times, then yes its definitely worth a buy.
Especially considering it comes with all the DLC.

If you didnt play it a year ago then yes it is worth buying.

If the game looked the exact same and had no extra content this would be a terrible deal.

But seeing as PS3 fans will be the first to get a small glimpse at ME3 (ME2 on ME3 engine), and get all that extra content, it makes it more than worth it for the price. It's pretty much the more, full, complete game.

If you really want to look at it as they do in the title, I could also say do you feel good about your purchase, as you played the Beta version? Good things happen for those who wait.

I got ME2 collector's edition from Steam on day one and will also get this version of the PS3 since I played none of the many DLCs .

It is a totaly worth game for people that had no chance to play it neither on PC or XBOX360 .

it is a very beautifull game regardless the Unreal engine since they put a lot work in art direction in ME2.

Boy. I've never seen someone type "year old game" so many times in one article. Isn't a good game a good game no matter how much time has passed since the release date? It's not like ME2 will suck all of a sudden because it's been a year since the release.

Playing Mass Effect one shouldn't really be an issue either. Bioware is filling the PS3 owners who haven't played ME 1 in and catching them up to the story in 2, and they should be prepared for ME 3 just like 360 and PC owners.

If you don't have a 360 or a pc that could run it and haven't played it yet, then it's a no-brainer. ME2 is getting GOTY consideration from every gaming publication around, and for good reason. If you've already played the game, it's probably not worth it. There's no new content except the comic opening that doesn't matter if you played ME1, and the graphics improvements aren't worth the extra money. Bottom line, get it for ps3 if you don't have a pc that can run it or an xbox. Otherwise, you can get the game for cheaper (including all dlc) on the other platforms.

I say yes because it gives people a fresh new look at the game since it is using the mass effect 3 engine.

At $60, it's worth the buy for PS3; besides, it's a first newly release on the system.

The $60 price can further be justified that Mass Effect 2 comes in three segments: (1) the interactive comic; (2) the main game; (3) the X360/PC DLC...all on 1 disc.

yes you'll enjoy the story and game plus all the the DLC on one disc.
I played it on my 360 and loved every minute of it but didn't get to play all the DLC missions before trading it in for Halo Reach. Im going to het the PS3 version and replay everything along with the DLC.

Yes it is worth it getting it.... unfortunately I'll only be able to afford LBP2 around then, which means it will have to wait a little bit.

I have the game on 360 and am thinking it's worth buying on PS3 for the DLC and the ability to import my character in ME3. Judging from the looks of it I'd prefer ME3 on PS3 with only one disk and better graphics.

I thought it was so dumb that I installed both disks but it still made me switch them.

Having played through the game on PC, and knowing that the game includes most DLC, and is rebuilt in the ME3 engine, I'd say yes. It's absolutely worth it. :)

Your getting a better version of the game from a graphics point, your getting alot of DLC for free, your getting that comic, plus your getting it on one disc. Yes, its worth 60 dollars.

BTW: I totaly jumped on that 10 dollar deal on Amazon for the game on 360.

I can't say is a bad game. I watched my wife play it on her 360 and it looks good. I just don't like it. Still, ME2 with the engine of ME3 and with DLC, HE'LL YEAH that is a good buy. So what if it came a year ago on the 360? The same happened with bioshock and it didn't stop me from buying it. ME2 on PS3 is worth the wait and the buy.

Mass Effect was the only game on PC and 360 that I wished was on PS3 also. So I would say that yes, it is worth buying.

Besides this is a AAA a game right up their with Uncharted 2.

I hope PS3 fanboys do not think they are above buying this incredible game.

This is not a shody port.

Bioware actually made the PS3 version the definitive version so we should be thanking them with our dollars.

I would say if you have it on 360 or pc then dont just get the DLC for cheap (plus save system will help).If you dont have a capable pc (because game is so cheap at the moment) and only a PS3 then hell yeah you'd be stupid not to.

Misleading article is misleading. Yes, the PC and 360 versions are just $19 right now. But when you tack on all the DLC (and the really big ones are absolutely worth it...Shadow Broker is ESSENTIAL imo) it comes to something like $50. The PS3 version will have all of that included. So really, it's just $10 more.

anyways .. the graphics look a bit better...and i really like the idea of a comic strip save generator,smart work from bioware. but i guess its only good if u play me 1 yourself and then play me2.
comic strip wont be that much of an experience for some1 who is new to the series,but for those who have already played me1 ,it would be really a bonus as i can generate my own save without actually having to play me 1*sweet*
plus all the dlc...which i dnt buy fr xbox ...so,

Of course. However, to me it was a 3rd person si-fi shooter with lots dialogue in it so I didn't really care for it and I don't think I'll getting it cause I'll be buying Dead Space2 & LBP2.

Well I just completed Mass Effect on the PC today and loved every second of it, and with all the good reviews going around about ME2 with its updated engine, better visuals, one disc and DLC...its kind of hard to refuse. Hurry up January! ^_^

This game has been out for an entire year and is only 20 bucks for 360 and PC who in their right mind would pay 60 dollars plus tax for this ?

For one: a YEAR old game isn't that old. Also, I read over on gametrailers these interesting details about the "port":

-Uses the ME3 engine
-All patches installed
-6 hours of content not in the 360 or PC versions
-All DLC included.

So factor in the price of DLC on top of the price of the PC and 360 versions, and the fact that the extra content isn't even available to either, and that it's running on the next engine, and suddenly a YEAR OLD (OMG O_O) game doesn't seem like such a bad deal at 60$.

If you don't already own the 360 version, then yes.
