It seems that most players who played Mass Effect 2 were guys because 82% played as the male version of shepard meanwhile the female version only the 18% played it, and thats a shame because the best version of shepard was the female one.

One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Hmm, I have Female Character.
Videogames should have more Female characters available.
Yeah I liked playing female Shep more than the male. If I'm going to be staring at ass the entire game might as well enjoy the view. <Archangel> was my favorite crew member as well, along with either Miranda or Samara for biotics.
"Best version of shepard was the female one." Matter of opinion. Frankly they are both good. I think I will choose a female in my next playthrough :-)
Edit: Playing as a male, I was able to identify with the character more as I customized shepard to look like me. Playing as a female will be like playing a completely different game. Now the only thing left to choose is whether she will be good or bad....Bad chicks are always much more fun :-p haha!
"I guess a lot of Mass Effect 2 players are male and don't want to play as a woman"
Well I made two characters, one male and one female, both imported from Mass Effect 1. Mass Effect 2 was an amazing game, so I wanted to play through it every way I could, which probably explains the 9 playthrough's I did lol.
i played as male in my first playthrough of the first game and then female ever since
I really hate the voice acting for the male. He doesn't have much emotion compared to the female one.
