That really doesn't matter then. No matter where you spawn the gun ship will kill you. Especially on Nuketown. Its really fucking cheap. I like how everyone forgets that you can shoot them down with RPGs, yet nobody ever does but me for some reason.

That sounds like a frustrating online experience. Not fun at all. I'm glad I didn't buy any CoDs after the first MW. That was a good game, but it got old for me. FPSs are not my type of games.

I've noticed that as well, at least in the 360 version. In MW2 everyone shot everything down, but in Black Ops, it's like people think Rocket Launches don't exist. It's actually a good thing for me, because now I get to shoot everything down and rack up points :)

I have two classes set to take down choppers. As soon as I hear one is incoming I switch to my class to take them down if I don't already have it set. Once I get killed the chopper gets taken out. Sometimes I run and gun hoping to get killed just so I can take it out.

What's is more frustrating is having morons for team mates that run around out in the open and get gunned down several tmes just trying to get some kills. If they would just wait it out and hold down their areas choppers would be obsolete except Noobtown and the jungle map.

ya, I don't have any trouble with choppers because the solution is simple enough, but it is amazing how many people just do nothing about them... even better, how many people just run around anyway.

If I can't take it out, I will take cover - it's the natural thing to do.

as for the spawns, ya get that fixed. Next up, bullet lag. Yes I know all games will have a bit of lag to some degree, but black ops is crazy.

then sort the guns out. most of them are ok but the burst weapons are now a little but underpowered compared to everything else. considering you can't really spray with them and you have to take your time and aim, the reward should be a little bit more.

after a game where I literally died before taking a step 12 times in a row! Every time I spawned right in front of an enemy's ironsights and after the 5th time I put the controller down & just watched to see how many times more it would happen.

Too bad I don't have a capture card I actually saved the match in my theater mode file share.

It made me feel like being raped with apricot scrub instead of lube! I call it Murphy's Law, if there's something f-up in the game, it will definitely happen to me!

My k/d ratio is horrible because of this and the lag I experience. Oddly enough, the training mode doesn't do this or lag at all, so that's what I end up playing most of the time.

I'm going to have to give this game back to Blockbuster next Tuesday, but I have a friend that's giving me a copy for free (He somehow got his hands on a few copies?). I was going to sell it but if they fix this & the lag, I might keep it.

Here here decided to pop in in again last night killed 6 times in a row by spawning in the aim of a gunship.. So damn frustrating! Then when the gunship was finally taken out an enemy spawned behind me and took me out before I knew what hit me. It's a game breaker for me and if its not fixed soon I am trading in towards GT5.

Can't stand that there is no team work. You really should carry a rpg there is really no need for a second gun. You can always pick one up or have a class for it. Like the SAM use it and get lots of points. Love when the other team sends in their chopper just to have it shot down in seconds by the sams.

I have one kit especially for taking out aircrafts. So when i get killed by a gunship etc i swtich to that kit. It takes two quick fires of any of the aircraft lock weapons and it brings it down.

I also recnetly added killstreak of SAM instead of RC XD which is very effective against any aircraft. People however prefer getting killed by gunships and are only interested in RCXDs.

Surely the 50 articles per day about Black Ops bugs/wonder kill/any other pointless factoid is getting tedious now? How about some news on the PoP HD release today? Or AC Brotherhood? Not everyone plays COD day in day out ffs...

Then why comment in these articles, just simply skip them. Also, this is news, it shows that a patch should be coming in soon so these cry babies who complain over everything can loosen up their panties and realize a patch is on the way.

The game is not "unplayable" and the spawn points are not game breaking. Annoying, yeah, I'll give you that, but I still run a 1.5 K/D ratio and finish top of game often. This generation of gamers are so inpatient it's pathetic. The game launched a little over a week ago, they already have one patch out and working on the spawn problems. Give them some time and it will all be great. Most of the examples people are posting are ludicrous. "I have been knifed 12 times in a row right after I spawned" No, you haven't, stop lying. If you are getting knifed 12 times in a row, then you suck and should stop blaming Treyarch for that. The 360 version is what I play and I never had ANY problems, glitches, issues, or anything that might have ruined the experience online.

iHeartboobs, take a look at the names man. The same people complaining like every little thing is groundbreaking are the same people who stated "I will never buy this rehashed crap!". All hyprocrites.

Sony is Dominating because competition is not existing. Compared to previous gens this is the poorest in terms of software offerings.

Last gen we got Uncharted 4 Lost Legacy and TLOU2 from ND alone.

This is so far a remasters gen, with no competition to lift up the quality

PlayStation are soon heading into a new generation in the not to distant future. They currently have the worst customer satisfaction they've ever sustained as a company. The company is heading for a huge crash while at the same time they'll need to be planning how they are going to try and win back that favour and the build up to their new releases.

Yes financially they're winning but they're going to have to ride out this complete public corporate disaster. No one has faith in the company or the product anymore. They've damaged their public image so much this generation. Greed can kill anyone.

More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.

Yep. Yoshida was responsible for bringing one of the best games of this generation to playstation (Stellar Blade). He is an actual gamer and is in touch with what gamers want (creative, fun games, not GaaS and agenda pushing). He also seems like a genuinely nice guy if you watch some interviews. Of course they got rid of him.

There’s definitely some truth to this. When teams get too large, coordination starts to outweigh creativity—layers of approval, risk aversion, and tight deadlines can turn bold ideas into “safe” ones. Keeping a team under ~200 people sounds ideal for maintaining clear communication and a shared vision. That said, massive AAA projects also come with huge technical demands and expectations, so scaling up isn’t always avoidable. The real challenge is figuring out how to keep that small-team creativity alive inside big studio structures.

More than that, it's logistically untenable. Inevitably, when teams get too large, how do you keep tabs on accountability? I suspect this massive team size is a consequence of the perfectionism streak Naughty Dog has.

I wish we could have so many people working on something and it turns out great because I'm all for collaboration in spirit - the problem is too many people as part of the larger team and smaller units. Suppose for example that you have too many people in the art department; you will very often come up against fiercely competing visions for how things should look. That competitive vision will cause friction between team members, team doesn't work as a unit, the back and forth can further delay parts that the other departments are waiting for, etc etc.

A 200-person team says, to me, that we need to scale back game development. Even if it means we go back to PS2 era costs and scale, why not? Those games are still great fun, the budgets were in check, and you could literally break the 200-man team into like 10 20-man teams working on different projects.
