MCV Profile: Multiplay

James Batchelor speaks to tournament and LAN party events specialist.

Despite the fact that it has successfully hosted more than 120 gaming events in the UK, Multiplay is best described as an underground gem.

While many retailers and publishers may not appreciate what the company does, it has certainly established a name among core gamers through online hosting, plus tournaments and LAN parties such as the long-running i-Series and M Festival events.

Nice, I had a few matchmaking problems with the first game on Xbox One. Maybe it'll go smoother this time.

donthate3581d ago

TF has had the best MP experience of any game thanks to Azure, but yes the first few days had a few troublespots. Once the service it was stellar. Never had a better onlkine experience and so I hope that this switch to other providers don't F that up.

OpieWinston3581d ago

Yeah finally having a console game where you could select the server based on ping was brilliant. I hope more Azure based games do that. Especially Gears.

Filmicfps3581d ago

Azure puts so many servers to shame. Titanfall ran so smoothly. Good news that Xbox fans dont have to put up with non Azure servers

ULTp0ltergeist3581d ago

Don't understand why you guys getting dislikes for, Azure was very stable and smooth gameplay considering all the crazy stuff on screen.

According to you lol Ive seen many ppl on forums and posts complaining about lag and issues. I know your dedication and self proclaimed honor for Microsoft leads you to make hyperbolic statements but come on dude lol

@donthate

Obviously you dont play very many multiplayer games and obviously you dont play on PC.

MachuchalBrotha3163581d ago (Edited 3581d ago )

Wow, alot of Azure hate...or just salty individuals who didn't experience the first TF. I got it months after on xbox gold sale, one of the best purchases this gen and the online was smooth as Kojaks head. Real Talk.

Edit: @gamerswin24, is it possible some of us didnt have server issues? I don't gain anything lying about it.

PSN_ZeroOnyx3581d ago

@OpieWinston

WarHawk on PS3 allowed you to choose servers based on ping. And yes it's a nice feature.

Loved playing it at EA Play during E3.

Eonjay3581d ago

Did you get to play single player or multiplayer?

akurtz3581d ago

it was only MP, and it wasnt that much different frm the first.

Garethvk3581d ago

Multiplay. There was the grapple that was new for one, Bounties for another.

mark_parch3581d ago

That's great to know, now that the game is going to be on more platforms maybe it'll finally get the respect it deserves.
