Marvel vs. Capcom 3 - new characters revealed

Capcom has announced two new characters for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Sir Arthur and Nathan “Rad” Spencer. Other Capcom comrades will include Wesker, Tron Bonne, Viewtiful Joe, Amaterasu, Dante, Ryu, Morrigan, Chris Redfield, Felicia, Trish and Chun-Li.

It also seems as though Magneto and M.O.D.O.K. are in the game based on images, though the characters haven’t been 100% confirmed as of yet.

Sir Arthur is lame but Nathan is kinda cool even though I never cared for Bionic Commando. But why Capcom is adding a bunch of characters nobody cares about anyway? Didn't they say they were going to listen to their fans when selecting characters? Then where the heck is Mega Man X?

And let's not even talk about the absence of Venom, Captain Commando, Ken, Strider Hiryu, Hayato, etc. this is insane! Their move list was already made for MvsC2 then what is stopping them of adding those characters for the third? No matter what they try to do MvsC3 is going to be very unbalanced like MvS2, fans are going to find ways to do infinite combos with every character anyway. Tha's a given.

looking at the picture i thought it was Chuck Norris

5 bucks says all MvC2 characters will be in the game....eventually. you will only have to pay for them tho lawl

EYEamNUMBER15709d ago

the characters they have been showing have been a joke after everything we got in mvc2

the moment i saw super skrull as a character i felt very disappointed

Natsu X FairyTail5709d ago

Still NO MEGAMAN X?

it's a wrap. f1ck Capcom and their Western D1ck sucking habits.

Im out

RedPawn5709d ago

Actually I agree, not saying this game will be fun for those looking towards it.

A lot of choice characters have made this game lame to me.

fight4love5709d ago

calm down. you act like they announce everyone already.

Michael-Jackson5709d ago

I can't understand why they chose Zero(the leaked list is accurate so far) over Megaman X.

RockmanII75709d ago

no leaked lists have been right, two were close but one didn't have X23 and the other had Mister Fantastic, which has been confirmed not to be in the game (hence why we have Super Skrull).

maniacmayhem5709d ago (Edited 5709d ago )

Supposedly Magneto and M.O.D.O.K are next.

NoBias5709d ago (Edited 5709d ago )

HD screens of them are on Kotaku right now.

EDIT: Oh, never mind they have them now ha.

SeraphimBlade5709d ago

Grah, why'd they go with the dreadlocks Spencer instead of how he looked in rearmed? Though I do like his dialogue with Iron Man.

Optical_Matrix5709d ago

Where in fucks name is Megaman X? It's not a vs. game without him. How on earth are they putting Tron Bonne in there and no Megaman X is beyond me.

Every Marvel vs. Capcom Character, Together At Last

Artist Chris Cayco, who we’ve featured a few times before on Kotaku, grew up playing Marvel vs. Capcom (and Marvel vs. Street Fighter) games. His tribute to this, which took him over 175 hours, was to combine every single character to ever appear in Capcom’s crossover series in the one enormous image.

Every Capcom Vs. Game Ranked

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
