E4G: Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hands on

E4G: At the start of day 3 I made sure I went straight for the machines hooked up to Marvel vs. Capcom 3 as it was one of the biggest games I couldn’t get hands on with in the first 2 days of the Eurogamer Expo. The reason being that there was an extreme lack of arcade machines, just the two, which had MVC 3 playing on them and there was less of a line and more of a circular huddle around the screens displaying the game, so I thought I’d leave it a while.

meh this game is gonna stink some of the character choices are really questionable

the moment i saw super skrull as one of the playable characters i was just filled with so much disappointment

I'll be honest fighting games aren't really my bag but this was lots of fun when i played it, hectic as all get out but fun all the same.

As common as it is today, it is hard to believe that there was a time where gaming franchises crossing over was just a pipe dream. Capcom broke down the wall, but they took the combination of some of the most unlikely of franchises and made it the norm.

Whether it was a colossal successful partnership with Marvel Comics or a collaboration with rivals Namco and SNK, the “Vs.” series brought unforgettable experiences to the fighting genre.
