Peter Moore: 'What was I thinking!?'

Interview: The EA Sports boss is not happy. CVG finds out why...

Peter Moore is not a man used to making blunders. This is embarrassingly conspicuous when you're a shoddily-bearded games journalist sat a mere metre from his boardroom-conquering glare.

Supported Liverpool FC, they sucked.

Summed the article up for you guys thinking this might be gaming related.

Fan Tastic5698d ago

Well the real truth is, supporting the 360. Of course he has moved on to EA.. Then there was the epic failure of the Dreamcast that he was involved in.

SuperStrokey11235698d ago

Only if you buy it used, if its new then you have no issues

Enigma_20995698d ago

... I wasted precious moments of my LIFE clicking this link.

Christopher5698d ago

Okay, first it took them long enough to get to the reason why he's flustered. Second, the thing he's flustered about has nothing to do with video games and to do with his football team failing to do well.

What a let down of an article. All that lead up and a big bust when it's just about the sport and not something relevant to video game development.

Liverpool should start doing well soon as they're being bought by a new "consortium" after it passes the premier league "exam"

SWORDF1SH5698d ago

yes sure. thats their problem. not because the over acheived with average spanish players one season and now their fans expect to much from a club that won't be able to do it. also they sacked benitez and replaced him with a manager that as never acheived nothing and gets his feathers ruffled from simple questions from the media. He will be an easy target for fergie and his mind games. lol.

CantHaveOpinionsHere5698d ago

they messed up fight night. And I do have an issue with having to pay a online fee if I buy their game used. That means I can't play online anywere except on my console unless I pay a fee. F@ck them really and their pos sports games

SWORDF1SH5698d ago

Chill.

If the sports games are pos then why are you so concerned about EA online??

Online pass's are going to be standard from every game company, thank Activision for getting the ball rolling.

At the end of the day its buisness. If people will pay if then they will charge because there is a demand.

It's simple buisness. If you made cookies for 10p each and more and more people like them then you would put up the price because of demand.

There as been a surge in demand for online play over the years so now they can get away with charging for it.

You wont stop it with your rants so give up.

I miss the days of revealing new games and/or their release dates through tattoos on the right arm at E3 haha.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee76d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
