EA appeals to parents with Create

Publisher expects long-term sales from innovative puzzle title

-Alpha5728d ago (Edited 5728d ago )

I like the idea of being able to use a "Sandbox" approach to solving puzzles, but really, it's nothing LBP2 can't do.

Create is a totally cheap knockoff and is light-years away from the polish, charm, and creative freedoms LBP has.

Lucky for Create, LBP2 got pushed back. Otherwise I fear this game would have disappeared into oblivion. I like how they totally act as if LBP doesn't exist lol. I guess they have to, but come on, this is a perfect example of imitation.

Have you played it and actually sat down with an indepth build of the game and tested this theory out? Did you play, in depth, LBP2 and come to this conclusion?

I'd love to hear how your opinion is anything but a theory and, in fact, grounded in reality. Oh, wait, what was that -- You haven't played Create yet? Gotcha.

Basically, what it is is this. You cut your teeth on LBP and are partial to it. You don't like anyone trying a similar thing out for fear they might, long shot, but still might, pull off something better. I bet when Power Ranger's came out you Swung around dropping the fact that, not only was Voltron better, but he was First too.

is his theory any less based in reality as this comment

HAVE YOU? Have you played LBP? I hear you dont like long games that challenge your skills as a gamer so i doubt it

SHUT UP EMO

Thats a retarded arguement. He isn't the one judging Create before playing it. He doesn't need to play either game to say that you shouldn't judge a game till you've played it. Seriously, did you even think before posting that reply? Am I the only person with logic and reasoning skills around here?? Gees

People need to learn to give things a chance, try things out and then make your decision.

-Alpha5728d ago

I don't have to play it to see what the end result is going to be.

I am very aware of what Create is, and what it does, and it's not impressive from what I have seen. The graphics, detail, and level editor all seem very simplistic.

This is not a matter of "fact vs. theory". I am not theorizing anything, I am pointing out observations. I am willing to eat my words if Create ends up being great. Frankly, I doubt it.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee99d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
