Do any of the PlayStation Plus subscribers here feel they have opened up to games they would have not tried had it not been for PlayStation Plus?

Red_Orange_Juice5803d ago

PS+ you pay for stuff you'd never buy.
I'm still waiting to subscribe but I need more than old PSN games and discounts

Christopher5802d ago

Actually, yeah. I got a pretty neat brick breaker game and some minis I probably wouldn't have even considered at all. Also got WipEout HD, which is the sort of thing I don't normally get into at all.

But, my favorite thing about PSN now is the rating system. Really helps me to find the gems out there based on what others who have actually played the games think.

Cerberus21255802d ago

Ye I got some games with PlayStation Plus that I would had never play if not because of plus, and I'm loving it,Magic Orbs?,never, but now I play it all they time, that is a fun game, and some Minis 2,some are good fun games.

FanOfGaming5803d ago

I'm interested in PS Plus but idk yet...

Playerz85803d ago

Ya I won't get Plus till there is a real incentive. If there was an exclusive beta or free game I want, I'll get it, but so far no.

playstation_clan5803d ago

who doesnt like saving money? ps+ is a great service

AtatakaiSamurai5802d ago

you'll be surprised at how many stupid people are out there *looks around n4g* erm, maybe not so surprised.

MoneyMeng5803d ago

the discounts they offer arent even on games ppl desire...the free avatars, themes, and few games are cool, but they should allow consumers to choose what they want...psn+ could be amazing, but as of right now its okay..

Cerberus21255802d ago

yes it would be great if you can choose the games but,I'm happy with how it is,I have no problems paying full price for the great games like Flower, Wipeout HD,and other, not choosing the games I want gives me those good games that I don't now they are good or that I don't want to pay full price for.

A LIVING LEGEND5803d ago

I'm probably alone here but if PS+ gives me Beta access to FF14, some quick time with Kz3, A peak at TLG, online saves(a secure backup function) and non-restrictive PS store deals.....I'm in......easy.
Sony needs to remember that although we own a PS3,we aren't all given to the same tastes.
So,in short, diversify the service and count many others in.
I have WHD,Infamous,LBP etc.....I don't have access to games I will likely purchase but remain unsure.
Confirm thy purchase.We all win.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee135d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein169d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator169d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1169d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
