Dragon Age II - Destiny Trailer WARNING: Your pants may explode

Gamescom 2010 is underway in Germany and today was a downright huge day for PS3 gamers with the news of Mass Effect 2 coming their way. But BioWare wasn't done droppin' bombs on us. The release date for Dragon Age II was released as well, it's March 8, 2011. But that's not all...in a Billy Mays-esque maneuver they went ahead and threw in an added bonus...

I love this guys personality, he made me laugh a lot during the article, I'd like to meet him in real life, I think we'd be good friends.

Anyway, on topic, I'm looking forwards to this game.

TOO LATE, my pants just exploded from the awesomeness of this game!
Cant wait to play this title.

Oh boy.. more random CG.. just like the opening movie of Dragon Age Origins that had absolutely nothing to do with the game.

Exciting!

HelghastKid5750d ago

Ah come on man, even if it was CG you cant say that trailer wasnt badass. Bioware sure know how to get people pumped for there games :p

Dragon Age may have fooled me once with there CGI but that wont happen this time around - will need to see the gameplay first.

How can Bioware release a game with good graphics like Mass Effect 2 and then release some half a$$ looking game like Dragon age.

There was no reason to try to lay smack on R3 (The R3 trailer was BA*8)

In short - Both were great.
Keep the love going and resist the hate man.... resist the hate.

Darkfiber5750d ago

Seriously, why did people say they liked that one Star Wars CG trailer so much? Now they wont stop making them.

I like the trailer CG or not, I like it. Haven't played DAO yet but

If the choices won't matter, why bother? Bioware works so hard at giving meaningful choices but rarely if ever carrying out the impact of such choices to the end.

Mass Effect - N7 DAY 2025

Bioware writes: "Like you, we’ve heard the rumors lately. You’ve made it clear you care deeply about what’s next. So let’s start by setting the record straight: the next Mass Effect game is in development, and EA and BioWare remain committed to telling more stories in this universe."

I expected nothing and I'm still disappointed

Like with Fallout, it's starting to feel studios are using TV / Film adaptations when they have no game info to talk about.

toxic-inferno189d ago

I feel the same way.

I mean, how difficult would it be for them to release SOMETHING of substance? Another short trailer? A couple of proper hints? A short story set during the original trilogy, but focused on fringe characters?

Hopefully they're working so hard on the game that they don't have time. But still, with every passing year and so little to show, the franchise will be slipping further and further from people's minds.

Profchaos189d ago

Yeah agree it's almost a cop out since Dev times are 5 to 10 years just throw out a few seasons instead you get them done in a year

jznrpg189d ago

I still haven’t beat Andromeda. I am waiting for a lull of good games in my backlog

P_Bomb189d ago

So the TV show will take place after the OG trilogy. I wonder which ending they’ll use?

Rebel_Scum189d ago

Should’ve just posted a picture of an Elcor saying “regretfully, we have nothing to share.”

BioWare needs to follow Larian’s lead and just “embrace people’s cool choices”, veteran EA developer

Speaking on a recent episode of the FRVR Podcast, veteran EA developer Alex Hutchinson—who worked on The Sims 2, Spore and Army of Two: The 40th Day—explained that the studio is already no longer the studio fans fell in love with, but it should be safe from censorship of its games’ political beliefs.

Who didn’t see this coming lol

Armaggedon189d ago

BioWare should find the center and focus. Chasing someone else’s shadow will likely lead to failure.
