Dragon Age 2 set the precedent that the series would always carry our choices over, but was it worth it?
If the choices won't matter, why bother? Bioware works so hard at giving meaningful choices but rarely if ever carrying out the impact of such choices to the end.

One thing I am curious about, which version did you try out? PC, 360, or both? It has been my understanding so far that the PC version will retain the top-down view and more strategical combat, while the 360 version has eliminated that.
You can beat there will be a mod adding it back, though! If it is the same engine, it may still be in the coding.
Sad about the removal of the high angle and modding tools. Still looking forward to the game though.
