It sounds like an awesome concept, yet lame at the same time.

If it's a new BioShock, it would be a refreshing change from underwater Rapture. But i'm hoping it's a new IP.

Syaz15777d ago

i would rather have a new storyline rather than one that is linked to bioshock.

Rise Rapture Rise! We turn our hopes up to the skies!

Baltis5777d ago

I cannot see another Bioshock being set in Rapture. It just can't be. How lame, generic and boring can the series get? It's already at the bottom of my play list. In fact, I have no desire to play a BioShock game again. The 1st one bored me to tears. I'm sure the second is no better.

Rich16315777d ago

I am pretty sure Ken said that it was a new, original IP.

Please, please, please let it be System Shock 3.

fastrez5777d ago

It would be cool, but do enough younger gamers know about System Shock to make it bankable? I'm not sure but I really would like to see a new sequel.

Feckles5777d ago

Reboots are all the rage these days. Looking forward to the new XCOM game too. Mind you, that latest Deus Ex trailer didn't really do it for me.

Raendom5777d ago

In additions to Feckles point about XCOM, you forgot about Fallout 3? I doubt 90% of that audience REALLY played the originals. System Shock on a next gen platform with all the polish Levine brings? Could sell tons.

tdrules5777d ago

Since when was Tribes compared to turn based strategy games?

palaeomerus5777d ago

Or real time Samurai strategy games? That had me confused too. I thought for a second that maybe the dude was mixed up with Settlers of Catan or maybe one of Molyneux's later Populous games or something.

USEYOURFIST5777d ago

i would love system shock 3 and i recon its highly likely but i would have thought that would have been more of an e3 type thing to announce

skyward5777d ago

Seriously. Fans mentioned every possible Irrational/Levine sequel in the Irrational podcast.

D815777d ago

Not to mention that it was confirmed Levine was working on "an original project which could become a new franchise" as early as April this year.

Alos885777d ago (Edited 5777d ago )

That Darkness 2 guess was pretty well researched, I doubt it will be that though.
