EA’s Create Tickles My Sack Bone

SarcasticGamer: Imitation, so they say, is the sincerest form of flattery. Others like to call it just plain stealing, and in the case of EA’s new game Create, that sounds like a far more applicable term. All that’s missing from this new game is a main character made of cloth. Might as well call it SmallLargeSpaceRock and be done with it.

This Create game looks like it has more in common with Trails HD/Joe Danger, apparently has no central character to identify with, yet its being called a LBP clone. Why? Because some PR guy made the comparison and everyone's going along with it?

BannedForNineYears5794d ago

That's what I thought at first.
But after watching some footage.
It's definitely safe to say it's a LBP rip off.
>_>

Army_of_Darkness5794d ago

First it was GOW3 to create Dante's inferno, and now this game that copies LBP... But really guys, I doubt that it's a bad thing when they're trying to copy from something thats Good, rather than crap.

ChronoJoe5794d ago

Looks lifeless and generic. To me.

Quagmire5794d ago

Sure, you wouldnt say that if LBP wasnt around.

ChronoJoe5794d ago (Edited 5794d ago )

Oh, of course not.

I'm sure if it's a downloadable title, Wii and 360 fans will be quite content, but real physics add endless depth, and real physics this does not have.

Or any programing mechanics, from what we've seen so far.

Oh and by the way. It IS a complete ripoff of LBP, and that's obviously what EA were intentionally going for. Not because of the gameplay (which does have many, many similarities) but one of the iconic features of LBPs marketing has been copied. The 'cerebilical cord of imagination'. This can been in the create logos and trailer.

http://image3.examiner.com/...

or at 1:00 in LBPs intro video.

Both use some sort of cord, of imagined objects, coming through the clouds to presumably outerspace, from earth. Or the other way around. The create one only shows the clouds/sky itself, but it makes sense if earth is below and space is above.

Not a big deal, but it's clear they were sitting on PS3s, playing LBP. When they were coming up with ideas for this game.

PaPa-Slam5795d ago

Way to early to call it a complete rip-off of LBP, it might be completely different from LBP.

(LBP is one of the greatest creation of this Generation)

Valay5794d ago

Everyone's obsessed with comparing this to LBP now.

SpaceSquirrel5794d ago

I can't wait to hear more about it.

........rrrright, well turn your head to left and give us a cough.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee107d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator141d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1141d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
