The only thing that could sabotage Dead Space is if the guys that made Event Horizon sued, and even then they'd just settle out of court for $50 and a cheeseburger.

It's probably the name of the animated movie

I liked the concept of Dead Space but playing through it became tedious and monotonious around chapter 4. In fact, I haven't beat chapter 4 I don't believe. I gave up on it. Strange too, I actually liked the game but I get bored of games so easily and then buy another one and start it and get bored and then so on and so on. I have so many Ps3 games and Psn games I haven't even touched past level 2.

Hell, I have unopened Ps2 and Ps1 games. Lots of them. Games just don't hold my interest for very long and if they do they have to be really, really good. Deathspank is the one truly great game this year. I beat it to 100% completion within a week. (I don't game much btw). It was captivating. The last game I beat before it was probably Heavy Rain. Since then I've started tons of games and went back to tons of games but just can't seem to find the gumption to push on in them.

God of War 3 - Stopped after the very 1st level.
Killzone 2 - Stopped after the Bridge level. It got so tedious. It's like a little desert town/villa/shanty looking place.
Red Dead Redemption - Stopped after the 2nd Gravedigger mission
Dead Space - Stopped at level 4
Darksiders - Stopped after the 1st area

I can go on and on and on too. Games need to be more fun and offer up more. I've got the money to burn, believe me, but it's still throwing money away when they jut sit there. I often times give them to my nephew or my brother in law as gifts.

Alos885777d ago

I can sympathise, I felt like that with Crackdown; nothing really wrong with the game but it felt like I was a puppet for the commentor guy.

Parapraxis5777d ago

Baltis is clearly an amateur gamer.
You say you stopped playing these games because they weren't fun enough, I say you stopped because they were too hard for you.

NY_Pride5777d ago

@Baltis

Maybe gaming isn't your thing.

bjornbear5777d ago

wow someone seems to have ADD

ebgeer5777d ago

Sometimes this happens with me, but I always go back at some point to complete them--other times the games really just arent that great...but Deadspace?? If you got bored of Deadspace, then maybe gaming isn't your calling.

how about they wait to see if the 2nd game is successful before they keep milking the everloving sh*t out of it?

1 good game and a wii title that bombed so far and theres already books, movies, figures, comics, etc.

tigertron5777d ago

because Dead Space fans such as myself like to have more. Obviously I don't want this franchise being milked to hell, but this is EA and its not surprising that they wish to make money off it. I liked the motion comics and Dead Space Downfall is pretty awesome.

lil boy blue5777d ago (Edited 5777d ago )

If this is for wii dont make it on rail nobody on wanted on rails in the first place. that why I'm Indifferent to PS3 fan getting it. Nobody wanted the game because we expect a scary atmosphere fps.So dont get lazy and do it right please. Then inform capcom (zing).Remember if you wouldn't do it to ps3 and 360 dont do it to us.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

badz14977d ago

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee89d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

lodossrage123d ago (Edited 123d ago )

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein123d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator123d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1123d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
