The Metal Gear for the 3DS is not a followup, it's a port.

No. He stated in the same interview that the next game, either MGS5 or his unknown title, was for a console (not a handheld). No 3DS and no PSP/PSP2.

I think it's just bad translation.

By "Follow-up to Peace Walker", he probably means "the game we make after Peace Walker".

In fact, I'm pretty much 99.99% sure it's just bad translation. He wouldn't vaguely announce it just like that out of nowhere. And this interview is a few days old so if it was really true, you'd think at least Famitsu or some other major gaming news source would've gotten on it.

Seems like the author of this article needs to think more before he writes his stuff. And the title of the article is so very retarded...

The 3DS version isn't confirmed to be a old game or a new game, so I'm leaning to believe that PW2 will be on the 3DS and PSP.

Yea hopefully! But Kojima said it was going to be on home consoles, his next game that is which might be MGS5. Not necessarily Peace Walker direct sequel. Only MGS games that are on home consoles according to him are followed by a number. The last one being MGS4, now I think we're getting MGS5.

I think it is gonna be Peace Walker 2, or a sequel of sorts. First of all Solid Snake storyline is over and second, Kojima seems to be hinting there is something coming

Peace Walker 2, where you play as Big Boss and the final boss you have to fight is Solid Snake from Metal Gear 1. So it'll be Metal Gear 1, but this time around, you're playing from the perspective of Big Boss, and you'll be fighting against Solid Snake.

If he makes another MGS game for a handheld, I'll be devastated, he needs to make another game for consoles one where he isn't the producer or over looking the project.

A game DIRECTED by Hideo Kojima for consoles will be a dream come true for me.

Whether "the followup" is the studio's next project or a sequel, Kojima really seems to be hinting at a new console announced at a future conference. My best guess is PSP2, but it could still be the 3DS - it's not like they could have used that tech to make a game *before* and the PW team put together the MGS3 demo.

The title says MGS Peace Walker 2 is confirmed. Okay, *clicks source*:

"Can this mean that Peace Walker 2 will be heading to consoles? Or that a new PSP is in the works?"

Bit of advice to the author: Try do a better header next time like: "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker 2 Confirmed?". It saves the embarrassment for you later and doesn't give your site a piss-poor image.

Lol i was thinking the same thing. I sure do hope that its a console release. Peace Walker was amazing. I literally couldnt put it down. And thats never happened to me with a PSP game. Man i can only imagine how epic it would be if it was on the PS3 o.0

I wish Kojima make a brand new game, havent seen him done that in a while. Metal Gear Soild is good and all, but I'm just tired of seeing Snake over and over again(and raiden). Hell maybe even bring a new ZOE. Just do something other than Metal Gear Solid. No offense to all the fans out their, just my on thoughts
