I don't see why Level-5 won't localize WCKPSP for the west

"Famitsu has given White Knight Chronicles 2 a score of 8, 9, 8 and 8. This is an improvement over the first game, which got -- shock! -- 7s!

The magazine's reviewers said that the game fixes many of the problems from the original. They found the game's map display, chat interface and other interface areas improved, and also appreciated the tremendous volume of content.

Regarding gameplay systems, the reviewers noted that the differences between various weapons have become clearer, adding to strategy. Skills have also seen adjustments. As you might have guessed from the various trailers, the combat tempo has also been upped."

This is all music to my ears! I have my GR 15 avatar just parked, loaded up with gold/ mats and waiting for the sequel. Most hours I've logged into a game this gen: 765!!! Considering that this is bundled with the first installment, the sheer value of this package and depth of content is incredible.

Well that is certainly interesting

Nice. More support for the PSP.

A White Knight game for the PSP is great. I hope Level-5 makes next Dark Cloud 3 for the PS3 & a spin-off version for the PSP too.

Awesome. They had better put more quests at the beginning of the game. I dont actually care for the story. The combat and the enemies is what i love about this game. I actually stopped playing MAG for a while.

I hope it's not a full port but instead a better version of WKC. I want more guild quests for low ranks and high ranks. I hope there's infrastructure and hopefully the implement letting our avatar be their own knight in the game.

New Yakuza games... AWESOME! Keep 'em coming and i'll keep buying as long as they stay awesome and kickass!

Level-5 May Not be Developing White Knight Chronicles PSP

It looks like Level-5, developer of the PS3 White Knight games (also known for the Layton series), won't be leading the series on that new start.

Famitsu lists Sony Computer Entertainment Japan as "producer" of the new game, with Level-5 credited only for the original idea of the White Knight series.

This seems to suggest that the new game will have a yet undisclosed mystery developer.

Well the IP belongs to Sony and considering WKC2 ends the main story, its understandable that Sony has gotten another developer to do the spin off series while Level 5 continue their other Wii/ DS/ PS3/ PSP projects.

On top of this, Level 5 do have 2 PSP titles in development (announced a year ago at least) so I highly doubt their team could take on another PSP project in relation to their other titles in development.

Pity, but hopefully this other dev will do a good job.

Side story, but Level 5 will probably get some of the money that is generated out of it. Or Level 5 might be busy with their projects so they gave SCEJ the job. Level 5 and Sony have a close relationship, they're neighbors afterall.

Sony Japan Studios is more than up to the task. They developed Patapon, LocoRoco and codeveloped Demons Souls.
