Five PS2 Collections That Sony Should Release

KingPS3.com writes, "Since the release of the God of War collection late last year, similar PS2 collections have been proposed and hyped by gamers for release on the PS3. The next collection on the list for release, The Sly Collection (Sly Cooper games), was revealed at E3 and received much praise.

Just yesterday, Sony boss Shuhei Yoshida said that the company would love for more PS2 game collections to be made, but they "are not ready to announce anything yet."

However, just today, a listing on Amazon's French website showed that a collection called The Team Ico Series would be coming to the PS3. So that makes three collections for the PS3 so far, what's next? Here's our top five picks for what should be made into collections next."

I would love to see a Suikoden collection.

I would also like Jak collection and a Ratchet collection.

qface645806d ago

um why would SONY release most of the ones on that list?
(note how sony is capitalized)

ExcelKnight5806d ago (Edited 5806d ago )

@qface64 Sony could provide the dev studios to do the HD ports. Or just plain publish them if the respective companies don't want to invest in that.

@Lucreto YES, Suikoden collection including the Gaiden games (that we never got), Card Stories, and a proper (read: consistent) localization of the games. (Sindar/Cyndar is one blatant example)

Blacktric5806d ago

For starting; they should definitely release Metal Gear Solid and Grand Theft Auto Collection. It'd be just epic.

MagicAccent5806d ago (Edited 5806d ago )

.. And that is Shadow of the Colossus and ICO.
After that I'll shut up about it and be happy panda.

Imperator5806d ago

All the good Crash games were on PS1 and they're on PSN already... I think.

I'm surprised modders haven't taken GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas and connected them as one big game. I remember GTA 3, you had to complete so much of the game to open up the other part of the city, which was connected by a bridge, although there was a flying car cheat.
