At E3 PressStartGames.com was demoed a little game called Sports Active 2 using the Kinect camera. Looks really interesting and seems to provide a more rigorous workout compared to Your Shape from Ubisoft. This game is also available for Move, Wii and iphone/ipod touch. Check out the videos below:

seems basic for people who want to do work-out at home I'm sure like wii-fit, fitness games will sell big with Kinect

hardknock5820d ago

Definitely. Kinect lends itself well towards full body experiences. Fitness games, Dance games, etc... are going to be big sellers on Kinect this holiday.

N4GAddict5820d ago

Dance Central will be a big hit for sure.

Blaze9295820d ago

hellz yeah! I can't wait for that game.

Fanb0y5820d ago

Why do I want that game...

kazman5820d ago

cause fanb0y i might give you a bubble back if you weren't trolling.

Fanb0y5818d ago

Aw, how am I trolling? Check my history comments.

No. I legitimately want this game.

Actually, I recently played Wii sports for the first time and had a blast. Casual games are getting to me now.

idk why we are oversimplifying such basic exercises like biking and working out in general...we have seen this on the wii and now on the 360 and PS3...do we have to do everything in the comfort of our home?? i really dont understand how a videogame will ever beat the real experience...why not pay to go to a gym or get the bike out of garage and take a ride down the street

Bigpappy5820d ago

May be some people don't like to go out in rain and snow storms. May be when it is 95 Deg F out there you don't feel like taking that run down the street.

There are countless reasons why people go to gyms or workout at home. Video game can add stuff that makes the routeens less boring and can be a great teaching tool if you can't afford a personal trainer.

That was easy. Next question!

facelike5820d ago

It's funny, some reporter asks, "Is this coming out for the Move also?" and the presenter said, reluctantly, yes it's coming to Move. He then changed the subject quick.

I get worried that this will be the new standard for working out. There will be even more overweight people around if it does.

feelintheflow5820d ago

Teh dooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooomm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

antiAntag0nist5820d ago

I know these new work out games doesn't appeal to everyone, but I'll be willing to check it out for Kinect later this year.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

badz14980d ago

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee92d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator126d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
