When one of the Crytek staff announced that the E3 trailer was real-time PC graphics, that was all I needed to hear and proceeded to jizz in my pants.

STONEY45816d ago

At first I thought that was a pre-rendered CG trailer, then they openly say on the forums that it was real-time on PC, and I was like "holy s**t)

JsonHenry5816d ago

Same here. When they said that it was real time I almost fainted. Then I went to newegg.com and ordered a second HD5870 so I can run it in crossfire.

fatstarr5816d ago

Hopefully they don't forget the pc people that practically made them. I hate when companies sell out for ps3/360.

NMC20075816d ago

Oh boy, there's that false sense of entitlement that many gamers seem to have.

Sm0k3y_Bac0n5816d ago

They go where the money is. It's a business, and if a business is going to make more money "selling out" then they're going to do it.

XactGamer5816d ago

Maybe fatstarr just hates having to watch his/her PC games suffer so they can cater to last gen hardware 360/PS3. PC games tend to get gimped because developers/publishers spend more time on dated console hardware.

Tony P5816d ago

I would not mind "selling out" if the game quality (and quantity of content) remained the same. I'm a gamer, not a businessman.

waterboy5816d ago

then why dont ps3 games ever get sold out to by pc

Nihilism5816d ago

In English please.

My 1 collective disappointment is that a lot of the multiplat games only showed the console version.

But of course they are not going to show it on PC, because PC is not a product that anyone at E3 owns therefore, devs gets $ incentives to show off the console version.

I'm more psyched for RAGE than anything else, I want to see just what openGL can do...

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

badz14971d ago

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee83d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

thorstein117d ago

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

TheColbertinator117d ago

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

rlow1117d ago

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
