Metal Gear Solid: Rising a Sequel/Prequel, Might Support Motion Controls

If you're planning on getting Metal Gear Solid: Rising, you might want to take another look at this week's PlayStation Move and Kinetic coverage, because there's a chance those two motion systems will be used in the next Konami/Kojima epic

I think motion controls could b very cool for the cut mechanics in this game, I'd love to use move to slice some guys in half

also there would probably be some kind of comparison between the motion controls input to see which was more accurate

Shadow Flare5821d ago

after watching the trailer, if they included motion controls, Move would be absolutely perfect for slicing with its 1:1 accuracy. Kinetc on the other hand....i dont think its lag could handle 'lightning bolt action'

ShinMaster5821d ago

You're right, aside from the slicing itself, the rest of the game is unplayable with Kinect.
Move can be compatible with practically any game due to BUTTONS.

Hideo_Kojima5821d ago

Slicing with the Move and moving around with the Sub-controller...

Awesome.

ThatCanadianGuy5821d ago (Edited 5821d ago )

Not only that, but how the hell would you move raiden around? With the controller? Not only does that defeat the purpose of Kinect but when you would be prompted for kinect, you would have to get up off the couch, make sure you're in a brightly lit room, stand the correct distance from the camera and shout "Xbox: Cut diagonally"

Hideo_Kojima5821d ago (Edited 5821d ago )

I lmfao @ "Xbox: Cut diagonally"

a 360 controller and Natal won't mix well.

MS should make a sub-controller too but they don't want buttons :/

DaThreats5821d ago

Using the move will be better that Kendal, it is more accurate and it feels like your holding a sword, since your actualy holding something.

Mista T5821d ago

I agree, Move will be much better to use too because it has buttons, and I'm expecting awesome combos maybe for MGS rising.

dabri55821d ago

I am personally more interested in how the regular controls work. The game does look good, different but still good.

BISHOP-BRASIL5821d ago

Probably a lot like Afro Samurai, the swordplay looks almost the same. If you hadn't, try the demo, it actually was pretty fun to slowmo cut those mofos.

ArchangelMike5821d ago

I can't see how they'll implement Kinect in MG:R, what your hand becomes the sword.. meh. The Move controller seems more intuitive off the bat, it just won't be the same without the force feedback, and an actual katana (Move controller) in your hand.

Mista T5821d ago

that would be awesome with Move

Odin7775821d ago

I think it would actually work quite well with Move. I'm not so sure about Kinect, though. Not sure how you would do more complex actions without buttons.

CobraKai5821d ago

2 words for Kinect version. Karate chops

hay5821d ago (Edited 5821d ago )

Playing with Karate chops in any game would be epic.

He could play it too:

There is at least a few good jokes that could come from that title

Cacabunga587d ago

Yet another powerful device Sony gave up supporting. KZ3 move was one of the best motion controller implementation ever

just_looken586d ago

Right the ps move was awesome i have the gun thing from killzone still.

Relientk77587d ago

That's really cool. It's crazy something like that is possible with gaming controllers 1000's of miles away.

Lexreborn2587d ago

Guess that submarine should’ve used move controllers instead of logitech
