The Sims franchise has been a part of my life ever since the first game came out. It was one of two games I camped outside of a store for, the other one being Black & White.
Its great for EA they are making a console release. Now they can charge for each and every skin pack. Also Console gamers will gladly pay for 10 expansions of the game within the next 2 years, even if it means just new skins.
