ign.com: Contra: Hard Corps on the SEGA Genesis is one of my favorite Contra games. The enormous bosses, branching paths, and epic action sequences made for one of the most thrilling 16-bit experiences back in the day. So imagine my delight when Konami told me it is bringing the spiritual sequel to Contra: Hard Corps to Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network this year. Picture a more anime-styled Contra game with the word "Contra" removed from the title, and you're starting to get a good idea of what Hard Corps: Uprising is. Konami describes it as "homage to legacy Konami run-and-gun platformers," of which Contra is the most famous (although there is also Rush 'N Attack, which is getting a facelift this year, as well). I got to play a bit of Hard Corpse recently and came away excited.

Sure, there was online gaming back in the day but the modern age of online video gaming began almost twenty years ago with Xbox Live 1.0.

Video created for comedic purposes only. Press2Reset fully supports hardworking Indie developers. In fact, for a fun experience on the XBLA Indie Game Marketplace, we recommend you check out I MAED A GAM3 W1TH ZOMB1ES!!!1, Dead Pixels, and Cthulu Saves the World. All are wonderful XBLA Indie Games.
I try really hard to play XBLA Indie games, but they need better ways of promoting the good ones.
Love the indie games, cheap and full of ideas.
MS should reward the games by giving the devs money to make a full fledged xbl arcade title remake.
I find that indie games are generally just not very good. Although, maybe if they got more promotion, more talented developers would move to the platform.

As soon as I heard there was a Walking Dead game coming to Xbox live arcade, I was all geared up to play it!
So, now as I sit waiting for it to finish downloading I’m totally and completely stoked. Since seeing the trailer for this, I’ve been like a child just before Christmas. I want to cheat…I want to peek, but I can’t, I just have to wait for it to finish downloading so I can jump head first into the zombie mayhem!
This is the NerdKO review, brought to you by Gamer Muzz.
I've never heard of this before, but this looks awesome. I have to question why 'Contra' license got removed though.
contra hard corps is THE hardest game i've ever had the (dis)pleasure of playing.
Why is IGN labeling stuff "E3" already?
Too bad it's all cartoony looking, but stuff still blows up good. : )
Was sad - pissed - to hear that sprites were going to become rare/too expensive to do in HD. Hope this is the first example of that turning around.
