QTF. Sorry but anyone who tries to deny Franky's comment is wrong. PSP is in it's 6 year now too and needs an update. Sony WILL counter this, especially if the DS is 3D, no doubt what with Sony pushing 3D on PS3, they will do so with a 3D PSP as well. Just you watch

If PSP2 gets 3D it will be quite a treat: consider the multimedia capabilities of the PSP and you have a pretty versatile portable 3D player.

3D on portables is quite an interesting thought. Nintendo is really smart with their handhelds and they know the market like the back of their hands. 3D is the perfect update for a DS2 but I wonder how it will look like.

No doubt that Sony needs to upgrade the PSP. If it includes 3D then that will be great, but I hope they price the PSP2 reasonably. When you look at Sony's ambition they always seem to make the superior product but it comes at the cost of high prices. Nintendo on the other hand may be inferior in capabilities but they really know how to properly market an affordable and appealing product. First with touch screen and now with 3D. I wonder if PSP2 will have touch screen... I wonder if it will be a phone too.

My God I didn't even realize that the PSP has been out since early 2005 (2004 in Japan). That's a long time indeed!

I'm hoping for a $199.99 price tag. :)

Well they say its cart based so its hard to say. Im sure it will have some type of memory built in but no idea how much or what type.

That would be someting if a new psp was announced wouldnt it. The two facing off. It would be interesting especially with their different focuses

That will take around 2 years after launch, if we go by the U.S. launch in Nov. 2004 and DS lite U.S. launch June 2006.

I think the U.S./Japan will see the 3DS in November 2010 and Europe March 2011. :)

I remember the DS sold like 500,000 the first week in America (2004) and that's when no one really knew what the thing was...lol

So imagine....I guess around 2 million week one in America if they have enough, the right software, and the right price. :)

If it had brain training with SD puzzle, a Mario kart. I wouldn't be surprized if this could handle wiiware games/virtual games.

Re-realese some of those since then you have like +100 games.

Here's the best marketing tactic.

Send out developing softwere for free to the 100 top developers on wii ware tell them to make their games 3DS compatible by whenever. then in the 3DS box give a $30 wiiware card and with a note saying, we're so proud of our quality here's $30 to spend how you want.

That has two postivies, you have now gotten a bunch of people to try free stuff.

You've saved yourself money on having to bundle a game, but a game would be nice.
