Yesterday, SEC announced that they have purchased Media Molecule, creators of the Little Big Planet franchise, making them a wholly owned part of Sony Computer Entertainment. There is no question that this was a smart business decision on Sony part. Media Molecule officially became the #7 acquisition in Europe, #17 acquisition overall at Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios. So the question remains, Who's next to join the Playstation family? There are plenty of talented studio's, But these 3 are no question simply phenomenal.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
What a poor list.
Both Insomniac and Suckerpunch have good relations with Sony as with with one another (including Naughty Dog).
There is no reason for Sony to acquire either until both decide they'd rather go to other consoles but thats clearly not going to happen anytime soon.
As for Quantic Dream: it is not a bad idea and perhaps worth looking into from Sony: they could easily offer Sony a different type of game for their portfolio as seen by Heavy Rain.
I disagree with purchasing these three.Sony should try to purchase Camelot Software,Level 5,Treasure or Obsidian.Any of these 4 would work better for Sony in the long run
They should purchase the developer who made Demon's Souls and give them the higher budget for a sequel.
sony should have acquired Platinum Games when they had the chance.Kamiya,Mikami and Inaba are great developers and at least this way those 3 will get the support they need.imagine Okami was a playstation exclusive.man I would cry for true Okami sequels.but since this means no Bayonetta 2 then I think it will be just a wishful thinking.I strongly believe that sony needs more japanese studios cus it seems that they lack studios there (they only have 2 or 3 i think?),unlike Europe and the US ;)
Edit below: like when Capcom closed Clover studio and these guys left and build their own studio.Sega then signed a deal with them (in other words, took the chance).you could do a little research before posting you know :P
i think capcom would be great!
