By pressing F1 key you may give attacker full access to your computer.
Customers running Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 are safe from such attacks, Microsoft said.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.
The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Can you believe they are still supporting a product that has been discontinued for 2 years and launched over 8 years ago? As for why it has taken so long to fix, maybe this has something to do with the F1 exploit being recently found? Kind of hard to fix something that you don't know is broken.
What are the options other than Microsoft? Obviously browsers are easy to replace, but if you want to get a Mac vs PC, support is free for one or two years and then you are buying an upgrade. Every one to two years OSX gets a new cat name that comes with a pricetag. The good news is the price is relatively cheap. It's only $29 to get the latest version of OSX.
