It should be of no surprise by this point that Backbreaker does not have the NFL license. Instead players will be able to create their own squads with Natural Motion's extensive creation tool. Essentially you can combine a massive library of shapes and images into several hundred layers (500 layers for uniforms and about 1,000 for endzone designs, to be exact) to form a final logo of some sort.

There are many sports franchises that are fantastic editions to the world of gaming, deserving both as an edition to their respective gaming field and to video gaming at large. Other franchises, however, have seen their time. It’s time for these franchises to go the way of the dinosaur before they get even worse than they already are.

I would go as far as to say that most of these games are actually worse than the previous iteration.
